Corolla Altis price dropped ? - Team-BHP

I just got an SMS mentioning about Altis priced at 9.69 (ex BLR) for Corolla 1.8 J. Any idea why the price drop or was it already announced ?

G used to be the lowest trim variant and came with alloy wheels, airbags, etc.

A few months ago Toyota came out with the J variant which gets rid of alloy wheels, airbags and a bunch of other stuff and reduced the price by approximately Rs. 110,000.

I think they are targetting the taxi segment. For personal use it's not worth it in my opinion.

Yep, just got a similar sms calling the car "New Corolla Altis Executive". Cost Rs. 9.65L ex showroom mumbai.

I too recieved a SMS from Toyota saying, "Introducing new Corolla Executive for 9.72L Ex showroom Chd.

Now why would they sms the Jaipur price to a Coimbatore number!!

It's the new Executive or E trim. It's pretty much bare basic and has been covered in another thread.
