The swift will surely be aptly priced, just like how Maruti Suzuki have priced their other cars....it will surely give the Getz a run for its money. 4.50- 5 lakhs is what will be expected from the makers.

Default The Big Launch!!

Tomorrow is going to be an eventful day.. Just checked Mandovi motors, Maruti Dealers at Bangalore and the whole showroom has been spruced up. All other cars have been moved from the showroom, so that the showroom will only have Swift tomm.

I am definitely going to spend some part of the day there tomorrow. Suzuki is urely building the excitement in style..

Well that is what one of the guys told at Mandovi, when I asked him that why they had emptied the whole showroom. Also I dont think they would empty the showroom for the car 2 days before the launch.

Could be wrong though as he was not a senior guy at the dealership and may not have known the exact date. Lets wait and watch..

Just read your Review veyron1..

Thanks for the info.. it really feels good to know about the car first hand. it's well written also just like an auto journo..

Looks like Maruti's got a winner on their hands- if they can get the pricing right and IF ( a big if) the FE is comparable to Esteem - then i guess Swift can blow the competition apart.

Keep up the goo work..

veyron1: Nice first impressions tiger..that was a nice neutral perspective you shared with us about the car.

I;m always for the non inclusion of audio systems in the cars. It's laway better that i get to choose wht/how i want my music system to sound.

Maybe for the demo version..they cud have put a decent one to create some sort of an image.

Since it will be stacked up heavily against the getz..any comparison you wanna make and we know u wud give a thums up for the SWIT.

what remains is the official pricing announcement..waitin for the same.

Hurry Home

Default Launched!!

Swift has been launched in Bangalore.. saw it at Mandovi motors on Lavelle raod.. A ZXI in blue (turquoise blue - dont know what the colour is named) is on display. As the people were busy decorating the place up so could not ask for the prices.. will follow with details and possibly pics during the course of the day..

cheers

Nice review veyron1...... Very nicely done..!

I hope all our expectations are met and exceeded..and that includes the pricing. If they can price the Zxi at anything under 5, its going to be smooth sailing for maruti.

btw...this economic times article (posted on 25th may) claims that the Lxi is under 4 Lacs.

That is very competitive pricing indeed. I do not know however, whether there will be takers for the car in its ZXI avatar though. Maybe if they put in that 1.6 engine?

SS, shouldn't it be 3.87 for the LXi and 4.05 for the VXi.
I am guessing that people will flock for the Vxi and hardly anyone will get the ZXi.
