its a good looker - but i heard on tbhp itself that it has a useless transmission and hence its not for the performance minded.

Very well said. Even I liked the car. A bit lower price could have turned into higher number IMO.

Is that official?

I think it's still there. Just click price and then check it out.

Everyone loved the car and praised it when it was launched (even before the launch there was so much hype). But all the lovers never bought the car (of course it was overpriced). Interest died down. Now that it is discontinued everyone has woken up and started loving the car again. Let me ask you. Are you willing to buy it today?

Exactly. GM has been selling us dubba gaadis all along. I'm glad they are bankrupt. Starting from the Tavera through the Optra via the Captiva and the Forrester. And they have the same issue abroad too.
Maybe that's why they are bankrupt? They don't have cars people want to buy!

It had great pick up (inspite of auto mags saying to the contrary). But put it in first gear and then see what happens (at least the TD car had that problem).

It was a good car, nothing more. GM hardly sold any of these so doesn't make much of a difference if they pulled the plug on this one or not.

At at the way it was priced, no wonder it didn't sell!!

I test drove it a few times. I was a poser. By the time it was moving it's revs were 3000+ and what a racket that made. It is ok for guys who just want a loud exhaust but for those who want to accelerate fast quietly there still is no substitute for the Skoda vRS (under 20L).

Too expensive for its segment. A couple of lakhs lesser, it would have done well i feel.
