after going thru tis thread i immediately called-up Kun united here , only to be disappointed , as mentioned by KPzen it is only free insurance and exchange bonus without any freebies or 6.18 L on road with free mats , teflon coating, remote locking ... waiting for GP pricing and then decide.

Hi everyone,

I have an Indica DLX (turbo) - running it since 3 years ... clocked 35k .
Just one test drive that the dealer provided (he took me all the way to the stockyard) has completely blown me away. This car is really a pocket rocket ! The clutch is super sensitive - so no pain to drive in slow moving city trafic.

I have decided to sell off my indica and book the getz - the champagne silver one. The on road price here in Pune comes to about 5.98 L after discounts - maybe a hard bargain me fetch a lower price

Herez an update for Chennai BHPians looking for a Pocket Rocket - time to grab one

from 3rd March 2009, Getz CRDi has been 6,07,640 on-road. Minus 15,915 as insurance discount, it is 5,91,525. You can choose to defer the insurance discount, and avail a rear spoiler & remote locking - which will be about 17k more otherwise. While the petrol models have an option to extend the warranty to the 3rd year (for 3,025 more), the CRDi does not have that option.

These are from DSC Hyundai, the maximum wait-time is 3 weeks (but you would most probably get the car within 7 to 10 days). There is no news from Hyundai (to the dealers) about stopping the manufacturing of the CRDi, though.

I wonder what kind of a discount Maruti Offers on Swift VDi, if the on-road is 5.5+ then it makes more sense to go for the Getz CRDi.

Simple logic. With zero discount Maruti can sell the Swift. Also huge discounts means the Getz production can stop any time and Hyundai frantically wants to sell off the existing stock lying.

AFAIK, The CRDi version of Getz is manufactured on demand only, so there is no existing stock - what you said may be true for the petrol version, but then I don't think Hyundai will stop the Getz petrol, atleast not the 1.1.

Is it a good buy compared to the Swift VDi or Ritz VDi?
(Quoted from this thread (Getz CRDi at 4.99 lacs ex showroom!))

Are you sure 4.99 is for the CRDi? which dealership sent this SMS to you? Can you post any contact details given in the SMS please?

Even at the current prices, I would swear by Getz CRDi any day over Swift / Ritz VDi!

Default is it really true?

My friend booked a Petrol GVS@ 4.40 lacs on road hyd,It is due for delivery coming thursday. If above is true and stands good in hyd,he might be able to save a couple of bucks or probably go for the CRDI.

Can anyone in HYD confirm,if they have heard anything of this sort for dealers?

We'll do that together, pick me up too

At 4.99, it is a steal... If the CRDi is sold for 3.99, I'd probably buy two - just to have a spare
