Hi Vivek,

Congrats buddy. The car looks great. The placement of the new sticker (2.2 VTT) is cool. So is the DICOR logo placed in the side indicator slots.

I can imagine how you would be spending sleepless nights till you lay your hands on the beast on Monday. Enjoy your ride.

Cheers

Hi Vivek...

Pre-Congrats on Pre delivery inspection.

The colour combination looks awesome. How did the PDI go.. everything alright?

Do arrange for a mega delivery celebration and post the photos. For ideas, check my thread...

All,

Apologies for delayed response, too upset with the scheme of things right now and will update later in the day.

One word for them ( Sterling Automobile and TATA) is "hopeless" plain and simple.

Till there is a complete overhaul of their system and people....its not going to change for any better at TATA.

Thanks

Vivek

Thumbs down

Alright - Drama in the morning today.

1. Reached showroom with family to receive the vehicle at designated time i.e. 12:30 PM, car hadn't moved from the position that we left on Friday, no cleaning done.

2. Meet with the rep...he said car is ready and I will just get the paperwork sorted out. In the meantime, I reached out to check the vehicle - no cleaning done, the smudge marks as we left on Friday still there, AC not working etc-2, no washing, cleaning done.

3. Outlined that to rep..he said we will sort it out - back to workshop, the vehicle stalled due to lack of fuel, fuel pump in action.

4. In the meantime its already 1:30 pm and no one is in sight..called and was told that I would rcv the call in a minute. We left as I had a meeting and I had already conveyed on Friday that I would have to leave by 1:30 pm.

5. When we spoke to gent on Friday, he mentioned that we had done all basic checks and we will do PDI before car is handed over to you on Monday. Apparently nothing was done !

6. Reached office..no call from dealer, called the TATA regional manager - again same promises - very disappointed and that we will sort out it for you.

7. Call from dealer, same apologies and that its sorted out, pls. collect the vehicle. I am very upset to take delivery - I haven't seen such callous attitude and lack of accountability.

8. After all the drama and number of phone calls, vehicle delivered at home at 9 pm, AC is working and all ribbons etc but there is no joy and only frustration/eagerness to put all this drama to end. I accept the vehicle though I get a sense...it will go back to showroom again soon.

9. Took a small test drive, get fuel etc. Car is not quite, there is lot of vibrations and booming sound on acceleration. Moreover "internal circulation" mode is not working and all smoke etc seeping into the cabin.

10. Back at home, parked the vehicle and end of painful saga.

I will post the pictures tomorrow.

Take Care

Vivek

Thats a bad delivery. You have gone through a lot of disappointments to get your fav vehicle.

I wish you have a really good time with the SAFARI which will wash away all your bad experiences.
