The Linea is not underpowered! The gearbox ratios are such that 1st and 2nd gears are short, and 3rd 4th and 5th gears are tall. One has to drive the car for a while to truly understand the car and how and when to shift optimally. One can't drive the Linea like a Maruti or a Honda . I think it's a brilliant gearbox for the city, and I can putter around in traffic all day in 3rd and 4th. The gear changes are less frequent too, and the drive indeed a pleasure.

You forgot to mention that we can also change the gear frequently if we want to. We cannot do this in many cars, such as swift. I love driving in a small range, somewhere around lower mid. So, I keep shifting zip zip. It is always ready to pull. It is fun.

Default Wait

The Punto site too has no updates.

OT: Did anyone else think that the Punto site is actually very "childish"? Having sms'ey text, "r u ....4 it". While the colours uses and the design in terms of look might be good, I think it's a kind of design that all of us would really appreciate in our college days.

A site that extolled the virtue of the Punto, without resorting to things like that would have been preferable (IMO).

I have a feeling a report would be out by afternoon. I've taken it for granted that GTO would be doing an official TD of any major car launched in India. It's a welcome change. I don't have too much faith in reviews done by car mags.

And I think the last time there was so much excitement was when the Linea was launched.

Waiting eagerly for the launch news. Just can't concentrate on office work. The Sids of TBHP, are you ready with the price list yet?

Would you like to guess the numbers for GP sales in the rest of June? I expect 1500.

You can love the company, you can hate the company but you can not ignore the company!! FIAT has always created ripples on T-BHP. I hope the G Punto would satisfy all types of drivers. Cant wait for few more hours now !!
