I filled 30lts today. Luckily there were only 3 cars in diesel line as compared to 30 in petrol cars line! Saved 60 bucks.

Yeah poor guys...petrol is still more expensive than diesel.
But delhi people still have it better off than us....out of the four metros delhi pays the least for its fuels.

I juz bought a DLS on saturday, and your suggestion could help.

Unhappy

I had voted as No in the poll, but now it is Yes.
Man petrol costs are way too high in bangalore now.
Thinking of using 2 wheeler from now on for office.

Prices of petrol w.e.f. 7th September 2005.
Delhi - Rs. 43.49
Mumbai - Rs. 49.16
Kolkata - Rs. 46.90
Chennai - Rs. 47.49
Any idea what's the price of one of those 18 geared mountain bikes?

Already running like hell to meet the target on this. This option has been ruled out by the petroleum minister.

Obey the sticker stuck to your windshield on the top right corner for 1500kms. Get regular services.
And if you hear any strange noises do not listen to authorized dealer who will tell you this is normal. If he insists tell him to make you listen those noises in a new indica. If he is still adamant call up tata regional customer care and politely explain to them that their dealer says funny noises are supposed to come from indica . this will ensure atleast 50K of trouble free running on electrical front and 100000kms of no trouble on mechanical front and the engine should last you for 2lac easily.

had mentioned in an earlier post that the prices do not affect my driving style .. neither will the current hike have any effect .. in fact .. when I buy my next one .. I'll surely go for another petrol car ..

no its not possible to rev beyond the red line.if im not mistaken iceman had a 1.8 L engine in his baleno and had modified it to a great extent and thats the reason he could redline at 8000 rpm.

if im not mistaken the stock baleno redline at 6800 rpm.

Yesterday I had filled up for Rs.1600/- ( actually it is due for filling) & had a tough time in petrol bunks because of the large "Q"

Would it not be interesting to run a poll and find out how many would like to tank up before the price increase comes into effect.
