Default Comparing Hatches. Double standards

Before the launch of GETZ & Swift, if you were interested in a B+ Petrol hatch, options were Santro, Wagon R, Zen & Palio. After the launch of GETZ and Swift, now the comparson is between Swift, GETZ and again Palio.

That proves that Palio was in a different class than Santro and WagonR. And not much difference in price too.

Only if the people had been wiser!

true never was fair competition ..the palios always offered more than the wagon R, Zens and Santros in terms of performance ,build quality and comfort ..

hence the Sail and Palio when compared was a fair fight ..since both had different engine options 1.2palio Vs 1.4sail andthe 1.6s ...
now the getz , indica petrol , Swift and much awaited Aveo make it a highly competitive segment for the Sails and Palios ..

People were/are wiser, especially on Team-BHP. On the other hand if Fiat were wiser, they could have made use of this wisdom and provided better A.S.S and made tons of money.

Very well said. But that would have been possible only if people has been wiser to start with. Classic chicken and egg problem.

You forget Fiat India is run by devils and many of the Fiat dealerships are also run by devils, for example Bangalore.

People may not have been wiser, but they chose to be safe than sorry. For every excellent Fiat car, also came poor dealer network, bad A/S/S and apathy towards customers as package. Fiat lost on one more count, they came in too early with GTX, before the market was ready to digest FE of 8kmpl.

p.s.: I haven't had any bad experience from Fiat or dealer so far, but there must have been many instances earlier, since Fiat has earned such a bad name for ***.

OK, looks like another FIAT thread is going to be locked. We don't need the same discussions over and over again. Please continue this (if there is anything left unsaid!!) over at one of the existing FIAT threads.
