What a transformation for the Zen.

From a car for the yuppies till the late-1990s to a car for the `...' (fill in the blank but it is another word for a cat).

Pardon my ignorance, but i am just wondering where this car will be positioned in the Maruti stable? Its for those who want more than A Star but can't afford Ritz and dont like WagonR?

Zig Wheels have a short story for Estilo... The main highlight of the story is Gear Box is very precise & these folks are very happy for that... apart from engine which already very know is very good.... Overall a nice package is offering in Tall Boy Designs against Wagon R/Santro which are at this price point.

Automaker Maruti will launch a new model of the Zen Estilo today (August 25).
The model, priced between Rs 3.06 lakh and Rs 3.32 lakh ex-showroom Delhi, will have the latest KB series engine.

The car will be manufactured at the Gurgaon plan where the A-Star and Ritz are manufactured. Maruti said the new KB series engine is not only fuel efficient but will also be complaint with Bharat stage IV and Euro V emission norms.

Interestingly, Maruti will not use the Zen name in the new Estilo model, as the “Zen brand’s shelf life was over”.

I second amitoj, on other note still proportion and look has not come right. As usual Maruti cant give good quality materials. I hope they have given better quality this time.

Regards,

Ravi.

Default From Maruti 800, 1000, Zen, Esteem, Baleno to now - bulbous Maruti

Where is Maruti headed!! What designs Maruti is coming up with. Cant imagine what the portfolio of models in Maruti will look like 5 years down the line. Their prototypes look out of this world - look at A-star, Kizashi etc. But when made for the roads, all the wow gets thrown out of the window.

No comments about the 'New" Estillo. If only the designers could stick labels on what they saw as new in the model.

Porsche Cayenne comparison - good one !!

Nice.
They only increased prices marginally (10k). I think its worth it that they are only charging 10k extra for the latest KB engine and gearbox.

IMO, Estilo will hit Santro sales badly.
