@lastactionhero i too eager to know the place.Trust some team-bhpian can spot out this place and post it here. Regarding the commercial, i like and hope other too. Remember every car stunt commercial has to feature drift, reverse spin and synchronised driving.

Just caught the completed ad on TV.
The background has been digitally replaced by a dark cloudy post-apocalyptic kind of sky, and the ad comes with text catch lines in between maneuvers by the cars.
It was playing on commercial breaks between the India-New Zealand cricket match.

Nice Ad,i think the car would look better if it was shod with fatter tyres.I really don't see any resemblance to the KIA ad except for the handbrake turns.

I remember Maruti had carried out a smilar Ad for the Alto spin with power steering.Seems like Maruti's just doing the same thing with the new A star.

Nice advertisement and excellent driving skills.

Maruti is well known for marketing its products. Hope this will do wonders for improving the sales of A-Star.

I highly doubt you can do a stoppie in the A star or any car for that matter. It's just a slap across the face of physics. And moreover they shouldn't show that in an ad for a car with ABS

Another ad that thinks the Indian audience are idiots- prime example being that Hero Honda ad where the bike flips across a canyon.

However, a few places of exemplary driving skills must be lauded

Why not? Can't see anything wrong with that ad. The stunts aren't done on public roads so they're not exactly encouraging any silliness. Its quite alright to exaggerate and Maruti have made it look good unlike the Hero Honda ad.

And I don't think Maruti (or Hero Honda) thinks Indians are idiots. The exaggerations are there for visual effect, not to convince us that the vehicle is capable of that. You haven't been spending time wondering if an A Star can really do a stoppie, have you?

Not really. But when the company pitches a product to you, you try to understand what they are trying to say. Sporty driving? Fine. Point taken. But braking like that is just ridiculous. Have you seen that Hero Honda ad? I really think they have to stop 'bollywoodising' car/bike commercials.

The shown KIA ad is ORIGINAL. This is not (another reason for flaming the ad) The A-Star is a great car whose advertising is in the hands of people who believe we are in the 80's . My opinion.
