Is this a wish list or a scoop or published info?

I'm sure that the guys at Honda would be smoking something even better!

Jokes apart, if it is 6-7 lakhs, it would be a pretty good deal! Wonder how much the TSi variant would cost (?)

Thats a nice link hpzone. I was all for Polo sometime in October. Now reading through all the posts in this thread from that time, especially the Engine stuff - i am rethinking now.

3 Cylinder Petrol, now the 1.4 TDI review. Let me wait for Jan 5th confirmation. Have to get a car immediately. I am going to miss all the discounts now. Any idea if March is a good season for some more discounts? (Indian Financial Year)

Eyeing ANHC.

Soon = Jan or March?
1.2 for Petrol = 3 engines available for 1.2 Petrol. Anything more specific?

So hopefully they will give the Jetta a new heart.

Jetta really should not continue to have a 75kw/102ps engine if the Polo sedan comes with 77kw/105ps engine.

Car dekho has an extensive review of POLO. Is it based on an Indian model or cooked up?

Thumbs down

Read the review. Copy pasted one section for folks here

"Its petrol variants will be available with two different capacity engine first one is the 1.2L, 1172cc - 70PS at 5400rpm and the second one is 1.4L, 1399cc,- 80PS at 5000rpm. On the other hand diesel variants are 1.4L, 1368cc TDI diesel 70PS at 4000rpm and other one is 1.4L, 1396cc TDI DPF diesel engine of 80PS at 4000rpm."

Where is this 1.4 L Petrol coming in? Does it qualify in the customs duty? And VW mentioned 2 Petrol and 1 Diesel variant in the initial launch. So i dont know where Cardekho dekhoed (saw) the car.

The 1.4 L petrol doesn't qualify for the small car tax norms, so it obviously will be priced on the high side.

Anyone interested in Bangalore for buying Polo? (i.e. if released in the right engine) PM me. Maybe we can chalk out a group deal if possible. I doubt this happening because if its a good car, there will be a mad rush and no way will we get discounts. But just trying my luck.
