Thanks Scoopster. Yet again.

Now I see that Auto is 4 speed. Would it dent city 5 speed AT which is with paddle shift?

If you are looking at Auto, I would say no brainer, ANHC is the way.

Yet, a wait for first drive report on SX4 AT would be good.

Overall most posters seem to agree that except Auto the excitement just is not there in the new SX4 - they had already droped the sales numbers and needed to do more than just matching BS4 as the cost of power (drivability) to meet the emmission standards.

Maruti seems to have gone of the boil in the last 2 years except for the Ritz, the other launches have more or less been lack lusture.

SX4 AT ?? This is something to look at, I sincerly wish that they won't put up the filthy Wagon R Autobox in SX4..

Side skirting must be available as an add-on as it was available earlier.

The statement "Cockpit style" was there in the older SX4 brochure as well.

Yes, the Side skirting is available as optional.

good incremental enhancements - but nothing really that will tilt the balance. Power is increased marginally, and better torque is nice to have and hopefully it will also give it a slight improvement in FE.

The AT, though a welcome addition - is not impressive and i doubt if people would even consider when ANHC AT is there with 5-speed gearbox and paddle shifts. Besides its will get beaten up in FE too.

That makes me wonder - what is this cars USP? VFM+ Features tag is taken away by Manza/Linea. Performance/brand tag is taken away by ANHC. Looks can go to Linea or ANHC depending on how you 'look'.

Oh yes the diesel. But i am sure FIAT and Tata will try their best so Maruti cant license a higher capacity diesel that the 1.3, 75 bhp one for India.

Auto tranny is a welcome. Its got to be entry level petrol Sedan with a auto tranny!!!

And guess what, Maruti now learns there is life after a 3rd Gear

This is a good improvement. Hope the pricing factor is still as accurate as it was earlier.

Any idea when the diesel is to be launched? I heard somewhere they are also talking to Peugeot for diesel if Fiat does not workout. Dont know authenticity of this though.

Its just a reliable, cheap to maintain car. Which will run without any problems and you know that spares are available and there is always a Maruti service center around the corner.

Have you really driven the SX4 ? If not try it out especially on rough roads and highways.
