Just imagine the fool who thought of this idea of making a disguise of VW to ford. Indian automotive industry with its consumer have gone far ahead in terms of product knowledge and comparing.

Awesome, the camouflaging VW have resorted to for the VW sedan! Is this the first time a manufacturer in India has resorted to using such a practice?

I went to VW showroom in Delhi on the Sunday. Casually enquired about the Polo sedan, & the salesman informed (in hushed tone), it is not expected till the year-end. There aren't enough dealers to deal with the demand rush. Even the production on VW plant is not in full steam.

Damn...

Bloody Brilliant stuff from VW.
very few companies take such drastic steps to catch people off guard.

Expect it to be between 6-8 lakhs. Verna/SX4/Linea territory.

The Polo Highline retails around 6.5-7 lakh rupees. The sedan would have better interiors, a more powerful engine, better interiors & equipment. You take a guess now.

I read a report which said the wheelbase of the sedan would be longer than the hatch. IMHO, it wouldn't be less than 8-9 lakh rupees.

Think so too. VW will also lose the excise benefit, so the starting price could be around 6.5-7 lacs ex showroom for petrol. The top end diesel could go upto 8.5

I don't think there will be any change in the interiors and equipment.Neither does the Dezire provide better interiors/equipment than the Swift nor does the Manza over the Vista. But yes,I agree the Highline diesel could touch 9 lakhs INR.
