Usually passing around safety videos works for members of my family. Luckily, there is plenty of videos in youtube. Meanwhile , even rear occupants need to put on the seatbelts for sake of others and this is why -> (graphic)

We have got so used to belts (over 20 years) so feel very uncomfortable without them.

+1. So true, now the belt comes on automatically as soon as we sit inside the car. As Stephen Covey said, anything you do for 21 days consistently becomes a habit

I think manufacturers are also doing their bit by adding buzzers that go on for 2 mins or maybe in some cars until you put the seat belt. They should bring up with a program in the ECU that the car will start only if the seat belt worn.

Something like this device shown in http://www.chinesestreetfood.com/201...a-part-ii.html might become common-place then.

(Unless, the ECU is also capable of checking whether the seatbelt was rolled out or not)

Sharing this video from the "Embrace Life" campaign (a seat belt awareness campaign) in Sussex, UK (2010).

What a beautiful way to convey the message
