Same here in Chennai. The worst part, according to me, is the Fusion in those ads is driving on the wrong side of the road. That's the case in the "I'm a Chennaite" ad.

i think the dicor ads really rock..the tata ads have always been good, the new tata mobile ad is also good.

if people do remember the tata sierra ads were also good - "It takes the rough with the smooth"

I like the new Pulsar "Fear the Black" ad. Great picturisation and a cool song from the good ol' days.
The new Swift "That's my car you're driving" ad seems silly. Is a Swift owner so dumb that he can't tell his own car apart from someone else's? What's Maruti trying to prove?

The theme music for the Safari Dicor ad has been plagiarised from the Original Movie Soundtrack - Requiem for a Dream by Clint Mansell. The original theme sounds haunting. All these guys have done is make a cheaper imitation.

Similarly, the Tata Indica ad with the guy getting punched for lying is a plagiarised version of a 1980s TV commercial for Isuzu in the US titled "Joe Isuzu - Liar"

The guys who do Tata ads are the Anu Malik of the ad industry.

Yes the old Tata Estate ad promised so much. What made it so good was also the timing of the car's launch as India's first indigenous car awaited with bated breath after many horrendous homemade mods on the Tatamobile. The Ad really built up the aniticipation of almost owning a Merc for the price of the most desirable (that that time) Maruti 1000. If the driver - Seth - could look look so charecterful what about the owner?!?... the ad outclassed the car by far but hey Tata had to start somewhere on their learning curve.
