SCOOP: Chevrolet Sail *Sedan* spied testing. Clear PICS on Page 9, 11, 18 & 20

This car was caught testing yesterday at Ahmednagar city. Till the time I was behind him, I could get the pics but due to traffic I had to overtake him and drive just ahead of him. My car has TBHP stickers. Probably he noticed it and knowing TBHPians he slowed down and hid himself behind a bus and did not appear back

I could be wrong, but by looking at it I found it to be compact sedan as the boot was not too long.

Quite a good job I must say.!! I remember reading recently about a new Maruti sedan, positioned between the DZire and SX4. Could this be it?

Looks a regular sedan, couldn't tell much more from this view.

By judging the frequency of spotting, I would bet that the Chevy Sail sedan would be launched by June'12 end. I wonder why its hatchback cousin is not being spotted.

Looking at the bonnet it seems to be the chevy sail. You can make out the Chevy design template.

+1 to that, I too have an incling it could be launched by end June - Start July.
The Entry level sedan segment is really getting interesting. Hope Chevy gets some interesting engine options to India.

And would be similarly priced in the segment, competing with cars like the City, Vento and others in this bracket.

I spotted one last weekend on NH4 near satara toll booth. It zoomed past even before I could get camera out of glovebox.

The side profile is reminiscent of the previous generation Honda City - the quarter glass, mirror on the door and the door handles.

Just hope the interior is about as efficient and ergonomic and it gets some good engines and a VFM price tag, otherwise it is going to be a sales dud like the car it will replace.

My colleague spotted 3-4 Chevy test vehicles on Sarjapur road in Bangalore. He said it is smaller than Xylo.
