What is pathetic is that they are the only one to have a design studio and yet everyone agrees that their Logan is most bland car in the market today.

LOL...maybe her BF is a TBHPian..

IMO they should put models (smiling or not) next to select models (of cars) only.
For example, a couple of smiling models next to the Logan is welcome. Next to a concept?

+1 to that. Unless the model adds to the overall look of the car they shouldnt be placed there at all. And when placed next to awesome cars, I am sure not many will look at the girsl anyway.

Thanks once again for the superb coverage GTO.

Problem is, the Logan took away all the coolness from the Renault brand. The first product does a lot in establishing your image. Consider what the Octavia did for Skoda. It's easier to start off with a fresh brand, than repair a damaged one.

Their absence left me surprised as well.

Expect Tucson-like pricing (16ish lakhs). Don't quote me though.

Something Fiat is realizing now.
Absence of Sandero casts doubt on Renault's future plans in India. Do they still have a big plan for India?
If they do have a plan at all, they can consider something under the Nissan badging for a future offering and keep the Renault brand for niche products. This should not be a problem as Renault is having considerable stake in Nissan anyway.

Default Renault's disinterest ( or should it be uninterest?) shows

GTO,

Nice post - business as usual

Renault doesn't seem to be interested in the Indian market at all. The minimum that one would expect from a company which already has some presence, by way of the Logan, is to showcase its upgrade/successor, since it is on its deathbed.

The Fluence and the Koleos do not look too appealing (don't know about performance though, but the focus will be lower in any case in an auto show). The interiors seem dated and in the case of the Fluence, it seems to be a poor cousin of the City/SX4 IMO.

What's the point in showcasing the Megane when its not going to be introduced in India at all? Showing an F1 and the jazzed up Megane is fine as these could be halo models, but showing the normal Megane is to send out a wrong message; doesn't help Renault's credibility.

Renault is strong only in Europe, where car sales are stagnating in any case.
Renault has successfully killed the Citroen brand. Seems now they plan to turn onto themselves - if you are not strong in India, you have only China!

AFAIK Renault Koleos and Nissan XTrail are the same but marketed differently like the nissan pixo and suzuki alto (A-Star) are marketed abroad.

They both belong to the same platform, but cant really call them same.In that case there are loads of models all over the world which have common platforms.
