so true as it was to be driven in by NK in its purest form, where this can kind of scenario should have been taken into account beforehand

I'd import the car from UK/AUS/NZ (dunno if it is sold in NZ and AUS, but expect it is) I'd still save a hell of a lot of money, especially keeping in mind that this is ex-showroom, once the car comes to a city like Bangalore it will cost 65-68 lacs.

At this point I'd like to use a lot of choice expletives, but I will desist since this is a public forum with children viewing.

Absolutely insane. Going by the specs, Nissan have gone in for the fully loaded version. There is a good 30% difference between the entry and loaded versions in all international markets.
Even the entry Z has the same engine with lower specs in the suspension/brakes/tires department. I doubt that there are many 55 lakh rupee buys who would be tracking the car anyway.

What would have been fantastic would be if Nissan had decided to produce this like BMW 3 Executive and give a realistic price. Imagine a 370Z Track for 18 Lakhs. They would probably have sold 500-1000 units a month.

Front page of today's Bombay Times:

Report & Pics: Nissan 370Z launch in Mumbai + display in various cities-getimage.jpg
ZOOMING AHEAD: Narain Karthikeyan, the fastest Indian, was left zapped when he got his hands on the wheel of a Nissan 370Z iconic sports car at its launch in Mumbai. The racer agreed that the car, with its breath-taking performance, cutting edge technology and seductive design, will enable car enthusiasts in the country to live life fast. What pleased Narain was the attractive price at which the sports model is available

woah!! Insane, but a very very nice and different way of launching a car. Invariably car launches have proper entertainment events and displays. This was good, that they actually showed what the car can and will do on the road. If only it weren't so so so expensive!!

Awesome coverage and nice videos dippy. Thanks for sharing.
I said it before that Nissan would never launch 370 t around 30-35L.
But still at 54L its highly priced IMHO.
Would have grabbed many potential customers if it had a bit more economical price.

Amazing videos and pics update. Sad that the tires did not hold up.

@ Asifgrkhan
18 lakhs is too low to pay for this kind of a beauty. If dreams would come true.

one of the best launches a car of such calibre can do. Adding Narain just gave the necessary masala.

Very good launch, excellent coverage Dippy & Rehaan. The car looks cool, though one more model with a different color would have been good at the launch.

Wonder how much Nissan spent on this launch.
