the fifth gear episodes are pretty dated.
i have seen them close to 2-3years ago.
apart from that the other shows are pretty good imo.

I like wheeler dealers except some stuff looks a bit staged. what yo do not relaise that if Ed charged for his time, they would be broke!

Yea, wheeler dealers looks a bit rigged at times. But still, i love the equipment they use, especially on rectifying those dents on that Ferrari Dino. That equipment actually blew my mind. Why don't we have such things here?

@Amit V8: I heard its on experimental/trial run for now. Initially they gave the rights to Tata Sky and Reliance only. But once the customer base is achieved, it will be available on all DTH as well as analogue lines. Cable is analogue right? Not sure about time frame.

Twist the throttle is also very good! every week its about the history of a bike manufacture. The episode about honda last week and the one about kawasaki were very good!

btw does anyone get a spine tingling feeling when u hear the sound of that kawasaki zx14r at 320+km/hr shown during the promos of that channel.?

yes I agree but both Mike and Edd take a profit share from what I understand
and again, if mike also were to put a value on the time spent on sifting through ads, telephoning etc, it would come expensive.
but he owns an used car dealership in any case, so thats part of his job.
and with the profit returned on each car they "do up" and sell, Im sure it pays in part for EDD's time and infrastructure.
In my opinion a "loose" , "symbiotic" business alliance.
Interesting business model - with loads of passion thrown in as well!

I'm really starting to become a big fan of Wheeler Dealers - hehe, even might start a fan-club! But really, love the partnership and though there might be a lot of staged stuff (what with "reality" shows), the show is very interesting. Maybe it brings out the mechanic and the love of restoring old vehicles out in all of us!!

Can someone tell me why programmes in Discovery Turbo are the best only after 5 minutes of the programme starting whereas those in Discovery are good right from the 1st minute?

Saw promos of the channel before it was launched here and i think its the best channel to give us petrol heads the minerals we require.

Now, can anyone tell me if Discovery turbo is on Reliance big Tv or not?

Same here. Since the day Turbo has started fights / arguments too started with wife. sleeping at 2-3 am and waking up JIT for office and rushing. FIFTH GEAR & ULTIMATE CARS are the best ones for me and also enjoy Wheeler dealers is another great program.

imagine how reasonably they restore some cars & sell at 3k-5k GBP. Thats bloody 4 lacs.

Enjoyed the fifth gear last night. specially that super exclusive place they showed. they mentioned about BMW Z10.

Great channel with great shows.

I do not have a tata sky connection. It's a normal cable wala for me. I am missing this channel big time. I have searched through all the channels atleast 5 times since I have seen the promo. My cablewala shows Discovery, Animal Planet, Fox History, Travel and Living but he does't show Turbo.. Damn! :(
