Default New 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander Facelift launched

Visited Mitsu Showroom in Atria mall yesterday i was shocked to see the New 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander (with Jet Fighter Grill) on display. A maroon colored beauty!!

First Impression

Right up front, the big change is a new, open mouth grille that reminds me of the Audi corporate grille. Mitsubishi calls this a "jet fighter" grille that also graces the Lancer Evolution. It's only fitting that we have Darwin in mind when we discuss a Mitsubishi. After all, the company's flagship vehicle is the Evolution, a scary fast pocket rocket of a sedan. Outlander has benefited from this intelligent design. Evo's angry face has been transplanted on the Outlander for 2010.

Trekking around the Outlander reveals new headlamps, LED turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, and awesome-looking LED tail-lamps.

I was in a hurry to catch up with one of my friend! so couldn't explore the vehicle in detail. I work in Andheri so will drop into Mitsu's Malad showroom in the evening and give you more info.

C U flocks..

Very Audi Q7 grill, except Audi's tapers towards the bottom and this one flares.

I didn't like its looks. The previous model looks far better. This one looks like a copy of Audi Q5.

same with me. The looks are not distinct. And if this is real picture, then I find the car is stooping down compared to current version.

I do not like the changes. Specially the front grill.
The older version had more elegant understated look.
Here are the older ver. of Outlander for reference.

NOTE: Pictures taken from an older thread on TBHP.

I too dont like the 'frowning' new grill. Old one looked cheerful.
So no diesel, no 7 seat option, no manual trasmission. These 3 changes would have drawn lot more customers then the grill and bumper.
I thought the Evo nose was inspired by 'Shark' and not a 'Jet fighter'!

Crazy Stuff again! This face lift was just a prototype by Mitsubishi to judge if the EVO front gets famous on the Outlander or not. It was on their websites (US, Europe, China, etc) for a survey and the the facelift got negative reviews in all parts of the World except China. So I was under an impression that the facelift will be in China only.

Moreover, I like the face of the current Outlander than this new EVO front. What I expected was a DI-D motor in the outlander rather than this stupid facelift.

FLOP SHOW AGAIN MITSUBISHI----Rather HM.

I dint like the new outlander. Looks sad. Older one used to look muscular from front. New one looks tame and timid
