Holy moly! The theif isn't smart, he is plain lucky. Who'd leave the keys in E-class? And what was the security guy doing?

This is all plotted in my opinion. The car will probably be salvaged for parts.

While the thief has got away with the car and whether he will be apprehended etc remains to be seen, going forward any visitor will land up being enquired & checked thoroughly before entry into the premises is granted, which am sure will not augur well with everybody.

You actually think the robber will service the car at an authorized center ?

This guy means serious business and is not someone who is probably just going to abandon it after sometime. If he has gone through such a risk, he will definitely have bigger plans up his sleeve.

But what is really surprising is, how could someone just drive out without anyone noticing. I am sure it is not that wasy that the garage or yard is not guarded. Or maybe they were jsut confident that no one would steal it since they dont leave te keys, but in this case some bozo left it (Guys from Gurgaon who may be familar with Safdarjung Hyundai, would have noticed that they park their cars with minimal supervision on the edge of the road adjoining NH8, a bit of a distance from the showroom in a small yard), probably something like that must have happened here as well

Theif seems to have been heavily inspired by the Bollywood flick "Oye lucky lucky oye".

This must be a close knit work.Somebody must have been watching the car closely and did it very meticulously. It is an inside job !!!

So if they manage to recover the car, will they sell it off to an unsuspecting customer? Knowing Sundaram, I bet they are very much capable of this.

Just spoke to the Sundaram guys. Seems the person came for a test drive. And he just drove it before the sales person came out with the delivery slip.

This has happened on Saturday. So, even if he drove it down, he will be on the other side of India by now

Thanks to GQ. But, its traceable if he has taken through the GQ due to Tolls.

The lights, ORVM's and a few other bits like tyres / alloys can get him a fortune if he is a smart person which he seems like.

There are 10,000 ways to get the car to another part of the country !! If he gets it in N. India he can sell it for a good price.

What is this GQ ? Is it something related to technology?

come on guys, this guy wouldnt have formulated a pla..He could just be a passer-by..He has noticed this biblical mistake of the showroom staff and has driven it off for the ride of his lifetime..
Alternatively, it could also be a plan where the guy has been waiting for the time of his life to take the car away.

It happened to National Motors, a couple of years back. Two dudes took a C class for a TD, chucked the driver out at Dasarahalli and drove on to mumbai. Toll camera feeds helped track car. Car was recovered since police investigation figured that these dudes wanted to impress some bird in a college so they waited at the college and pounced!

Please keep N.E.W.S outside of this - a badland can be anywhere - it isn't constrained by latitude - if you know what I mean.
What he meant is it is easy to survive there. I have seen many vehicles in UP/Bihar without registration number. Instead they have written their name in flashy letters on number plate.

But instead of driving all the way to N.E.W or S he can take it to his personal underground garage in Blr itself and convert it to spare parts!!. We are giving so many ideas to him, sure he is inspired by OLLO by Abhay Deol.
