Model Blitz?? Tata launches more cars in a quarter!! What "B:ITZ" are you talking about. Those are all variants. Its like saying the new i20 is a new car all together. All that is new is the Santa Fe and the 800cc car.

That would be bad pricing IMO! Priced par with the Fortuner that has absolutely KILLED its competition!

Price increase? When competition is going the absolute VFM. Beat, and even the new WagonR offer much more features at the price.

+ 1 And the only model which would cause a flutter is the new 800 cc small car. Santa Fe would be a huge failure at 22 Lakhs OTR.

They have two versions. 7-9 seater SWB and 9-12 seater LWB. I think we would get the SWB as competition to innova and Aria.

What about the ix35? IMO,they could bring it as a CKD and price it just below the Fortuner.I think that would make more sense than the CBU Santa-Fe.

Santa Fe was such a beauty when it was launched few years ago. It has aged.

This should be interesting if Hyundai puts some marketing muscle behind this car - I really like the new 'Fluidic' design

Avante is basically Elantra for our market. Looking forward to this! I have been in Starex countless times. Ride is good, but handles like a boat. NVH is high (unless they did something recently) and is AWFUL for drivers.

Sid, while I really appreciate the scoops do you ALWAYS have to end your scoops this way?

Santa Fe at 22L =>
No one will buy a Korean when a Toyota comes cheaper and a BMW X1 is just a couple of Ls away.

Hyundai must be day dreaming. I guess they didn't learn from the pathetic failures of Tuscon,Terracan and Sonata.

So November 2010 is when my car becomes a generation old!

I kind of like the internal layout of the starex.

People believe me - the new sonata looks GREAT. i am seeing it in flesh here, and it should be a head turner in India. As for head turners in US, Genesis is upto that job!

800 cc car with shock pricing - lower than Alto I presume whet they mean.

The competition is getting tougher in the 3 - 5 lac segment where hyundai currently has prominence. Ideally it should put in energies there to become stronger; rather than trying in its weak territories - suv and saloons. More diesel, lpg variants will be more sensible rather than just trim and facelifts.

Isn't it too early for a new generation, specially since its such a succesfull car?

I believe its going to be a mid-life facelift of the current generation.

When I gave my Getz for service last week, the service advisor at Trident Hyundai told me Hyundai will release a car called "Blue" this year. I asked him again later in the evening what the exact name is and he said its name will be just Blue. He said it is something bigger than i20, but he was not sure when I asked him whether it is a sedan or hatchback.

"Blue" is the name for hyundai eco- concepts! If this news is true, nice scoop there!

If this is true, nice scoop there! Are they planning to bring in i10 Blue against the soon to be launched Spark Electric version? i20 blue might turn out to be too expensive a hatch IMO.
