Looking at the prices, It seems that shakedown may happen in the petrol C segment space, and Accent Crdi has some serious competition from the diesel, but as far as indigo Diesel is concerned, the price difference between indigo LX and Ford diesel is around 1.8 lacs. No reason for Tata to scramble for upgrades

I Dont this they will be able to compete with accent power but they sure can compete in FE with accent. But still time will tell.

the ford diesel might be a bit more refined than the hyundai's three cylinder unit.

that city average is amazing. but will have to wait for actual reports. dealers talk crap most of the time.

but given that mileage, will be a sure killer. there are loads of people who don't really care about max power and performance figures as such. the snob appeal is there, quality is there and if this kind of mileage is there, its a HIT.

22 and 26 KMPL.... I dont believe it..

16-18 is the expected range for a CRDi.. What magic do they have under the hood..

If that is true .. I cant imagine what is going to happen in the Indian Car market scene.

I think its rated at 90 mpg abroad - the diesel, that is. If that is true, those figures may just be probable.

If the sales people say 22, I guess 18-20 will be the norm. Even that is fantastic FE. This engine was known for very good FE and I guess 18-20 is very much achievable. As Steeroid says, it is bye bye everyone.

Need to test drive it.
looks very tempting considering I commute 60kms everyday.
My SUV plans may go for a toss then.

But good to see competitive stance by Ford as far as pricing is concerned. But still 7 lakhs for a disel sedan?

90mpg!!. Dudes, thats average on USA city roads which are better then our highway roads. Anyway, 90mpg appears to be hybrid average and not for the normal car. I personally feel city average should be around 15kmpl and highway about 20kmpl !!!!

lets wait for results though.

Anyway FIESTA going to create lots of sensation. Certainly it will try to hit Accent CRDi market. But BVR SUbbu is not a easy guy (hyundai India Chief).

All these things are good for India.
