In page 26, it is mentioned that the average price is 12 lacs. In any case the document looks very amateurish and is probably a summer intern project done by some B-school student for MUL.

Nothing special if 2000 CC Kizashi sells at 10 Lakh. Mitsubishi Cedia 2000 CC costs 10 lakh price.

Default Its a Project report!

Looks more like a Project report of a Management Student.
If it is then i am impressed. He has collected fair bit of information.
One obvious clue is the sources that are being mentioned.
When did maruti got the pricing of its products from websites
Another is the projections of 30% year on year, they are childish at best.

This is just a project report from a (Tier 3 or below) B-School... I don't think it's worth discussing.

In US SX4 sedan with 2.0ltr petrol starts at $14k and here SX4 1.6ltr petrol starts at 7lacs INR.
Where as Kizashi 2.4ltr petrol starts at $20k, so I would imagine a Kizashi 2.0ltr petrol will cost 10lacs here.

That's my fuzzy logic

Another thing that Kizashi is a mid-size car - i.e. it should be bigger than a Corolla, smaller than a Camry. So 10L isn't expensive for a mid-size.

Very unlikely this will be sold in India, Suzuki does not want to spoil the name of being the hatchback king by concentrating on sedans. Moreover they haven't had enough success with sales (e.g.) baleno, sx4.

Also no one wants to buy a rattling car for 10 lakhs.

SX4 sells more than the Linea & Fiesta, I think.

Default Kizashi launch - Is it near?

Suzuki has unveiled Kizashi in Newzealand with right hand drive.

Times online did a drive of the car and found it impressive both in power delivery and handling.

read more about it here.

Suzuki issues a warning

Also, for the enthusiasts, here are few images from times on line

Does this mean launch is near in India as well?.. They have a RHD car. Only thing missing from an indian perspective is manual transmission and probably a smaller capacity engine?. Last heard, it was a 2L engine for India.

News flow has been very quite on Kizashi side while the hype is maximum on VW launches. Hope Maruti does a better job of marketing Kizashi and price it right.

Guys this has to be a intern's work, look at page 31, A Maruti Suzuki guy does not have to mention about its own data sources in an official/ marketing doc. And almost all places its written Maruti A-Star or other model names, where as its always Maruti-Suzuki Zen/Alto/A-Star .. Look at page 35, the tick marks are not properly copied. And he has written "K" engines, where its K-series.

This data/doc is not a valid one, so better not discuss its content anymore, bye.

Yes, the document is a B-grade B-school effort, but still ...

We are talking about the Kizashi coming to India, right? OK then, take a look at this review

Suzuki Kizashi - Road Test First Drive - Autocar.co.uk

I really really wish they would introduce it? My money is waiting for it!

The review is quite good -- but will India version get the same quality. I believe they better give it for a sedan priced into D segment. And the mileage they hv posted 36mpg converts to 15 kmpl !! thats some nice figure to look at for a petrol!

At first glance i thought of jetta, then i remembered SX4! But it looks better than both.seeing the size of the bonnet and rims, there is a huge potential for mods(a V6 maybe).Too bad its not RWD :(

The document is made using OpenOffice, I doubt MSIL uses OpenOffice to save on Microsoft/IBM licensing costs!
