Talking Cars of our Heroes Version 2.0

Hey guys
i don't know if you guys consider our cricketers to be heroes or
not , but im defintely passionate about my cricket & the recent
thrashing of the lankans has just made it go through the roof.

anyways , coming to the topic , today in ET auto mania , they
had an article on the front page by Ruhi Batra talking about the
automobiles our cricketers own & their interests.
it was a intresting little piece which i thought of sharing with
you guys.

SACHIN TENDULKAR - i know most of us do know about his FERRARI MODENA 360 F1 , but do we also know that he still has a Maruti 800 in his garage from old times when he was coming up the
ranks.also , he has two mercedes (models not specified) which are
chocolatish-brown & navy blue.& a BMW SUV which he prefers to drive on Mumbai-Pune expressway
(i thought he would prefer driving his modena there)

SOURAV GANGULY - The former indian captain is a true maharaja.
according to the article , Sourav Chandidas ganguly has choice
from over 36 (yes , thirty six) cars to drive but he normally
prefers to drive around in OPEL ASTRA around the potholed
kolkata.though , he adores his maroon red mercedes convertible.

VIRENDER "JAMES" SEHWAG (u would know soon!!!)- Sehwag's first set of wheels was a good ol' LML Vespa Scooter but after his
entry into the team he got a Santro & then came an Indica with
the no. plate 007 (now you know).& a HONDA CITY followed later on.the article also gives hints that he owns a mercedes convertible
( it says he would love to zip around one , provided his mom
permits)now we know momma's boy of our team

and finally the wall.
RAHUL DRAVID - the present indian cricket team captain is not
so much of a car enthusiast like his peers as he prefers reading
books instead of going on drives.
that explains why his garage consists of a santro & a honda
city.

i hope im not breaking rules of the forum as i have already
mentioned the source , & just to br doubly sure.........

SOURCE OF THE ARTICLE - ECONOMIC TIMES (ET AUTO MANIA)
WRITER - Miss/Mrs. Ruhi Batra

hope this all was worth of your time.

HAPPY REVVING.

Very interesting to know. But, a BMW SUV on the expressway instead of a ferrari??

Sachin doesnt deserve the 360.

Yesterday's Times Auto (Bangalore Edition) had an Interview with Kannada film star Vishnuvardhan. He claims he has bought a new Mercedes sports car (which is still in Dubai) that can go 190Kmph in first gear. Any idea which car he is talking about, or is it just hot air...

haha.. thats exactly what i thought. Maybe he was a little confused because he didnt have to change gears . I love the times auto supplement. The interviews are absolutely hilarious. As are the reviews of the car. For example they had something about an audi TT yesterday where 3/4 of the article was about how nice it looked, and the remaining was about how you needed to change gears .

Sachin doesnt deserve the 360.
sachin does take the 360 out in the night for ripping...also he was spotted racing with another ferrari on the expressway. i guess he prefers to be low profile about the ferrari because of the fuss it created when he got it.

the rawalpindi express Shoaib Akhtar was once featured on a show with a yellow duke or some sportbike.
