Default What would you like to change about the driving seat of your car

What is that one singular thing you would like to change about the driving seat of your car?

Please specify the car you are presently driving.

1) We have two cars in family, M800 and Baleno.

2) What I would like to change in driving seat of M800.
-> Seat base to be wider.
-> Improved lower back support.
-> Wider seat back.

3) Baleno

-> Slightly more under thigh support for front seats. The seats are well designed, but the lower seating position demands a slight improvement.

-> Seat back has to be a bit wider.

-> Improved lower back support.

Hmm Good question. . .

I would like to change the driver on the seat, if that is not me.

Reason: Just cant see anyone driving my car. Too difficult to resist the driving habbit.

Hey hey hey !

I would like an eject button when I know I can't avoid a crash. Jokes apart, I would like my seat to be completely electronically adjustible for height, lateral movement, lumbar support and temperature, like in the Linkon MKS.

Lumbar support. I miss that sorely in my car, especially during long drives. Electric adjustment would be an added plus though I don't really see myself tweaking the seat adjustments often enough to justify that.

If you are the only driver for your car then yes. If your dad brother wife etc drive the same one then you need tweaking every time you are in that shell.

I own a Getz and would like the Fiesta seats on my Getz for starters. The getz seats lack the following

1) Under thigh support. The seats end abruptly and only very short people will be ok with the seat
2) Side bolstering - Absent. The seat is fine for fat people like me. But not good for anyone who's a size lesser than me.
3) Adjustable back support. I really appreciate seats in TATA cars.

I'm very happy with the seats on the fiesta, though I rarely travel in it.

WagonR 2004

- The seats have to be more wider, a.la Indica.
- Lower back support had to improve a lot.
- Provision for seat height adjustment

I'd like an armrest for my Swift.

For my older car

- Give me height adjustable seats in the LXI version of the baleno.
- Better under-thigh support .

My current SUV, Scorp'

- Lumbar support which definitely needs to be added.
- Once again for 10 odd lakhs give us height adjustable seats.

- Much better lower back support in my Figo.
- Recliner like driving seats with foot massager so that the 'waiting for someone' becomes a pleasure.

+1; Wow, someone spoke my mind; change that Indica to Swift; and better head rest, probably something like in the new WagonR's compared to the 2004/05 models.

Ikon - under-thigh support needs to be longer. But interior space means seats cannot be any bigger than they are currently.

Sumo -
1. well, may be an arm rest.
2. The back-rest part adjustment should be rotary - provides for more adjustable positions. Adjustment via levers does not provide the same finer adjustment positions that a rotary control provides.

But come to think of it, the Sumo's seats I have are just fine. Cant say the same of the seats currently available.
