For me there are two things.
1. The drag note of Premier Padmini S1 (Petrol) with hand gears, when you put first gear and presses the accelerator.
2. The robust and stylish look of Fiat Linea zooming nearby with speed above 60 km/Hr.

In my Swift, I love the part when the road ahead is empty and I downshift to third and press the fast-pedal, the acceleration (and the noise) between 3k-4k rpm automatically brings a smile to my face, no matter how bad a day I might be having.

And when I park it in my garage and look at it, sitting squat with its lovely matt black 15 inchers, that always makes me happy!

For me its when i just seat in my car alone, close the door and start driving with my favorite track playing and no one to disturb, complete nirvana .

Or when i see a long empty stretch, i just downshift lower my speakers volume and push the throttle all the way to floor .

For me its the bad habit I have formed thanks to my Safari of going over any pothole without braking much. It's always been a comfortable ride. Trouble is when I end up doing that in my Jeep or Scorpio. That surely hurts

For my Premier Padmini, its the sweet note you hear when you strain the 2nd gear and 3rd gear. Its the sweetest I`ve ever heard. Hear something similar at 0:06 at this video here

For my Uno, its when I slow down to 20kmph and the car is still in the 3rd gear running smooth

For me there are two things.
1. In my Xylo, cruising all day long with no purpose at all having a quick chai at some unknown roadside stall with sun bidding a temporary goodbye

2. In my Polo Tdi on the expressway at speeds in excess of 5 factorials... Pure Bliss

windows down, second gear, 40 KPH and floor the accelerator on my SX4- brings a grin to my face every single time- the way this baby leaps ahead, the awesome growl of the engine and the knowledge that the brilliant brakes will make me stop safely and in time.

Thanks ironshark for starting such a wonderful unique thread!

> The sweet note when she, K10 redlines to 120 in 3rd.

> The grin that is plastered on my face when she effortlessly accelerates and embarasses most of the B & C segment cars that makes me feel the road.

> The beautiful shine after the wash from which I can't take my eyes off!

Love cars! Live cars!

The sight of any of these on the road, even to this day -

Fiat Palio/Adventure
Original Honda City
Contessa
Ford Mondeo
Fiesta 1.6S in blue

.. you gotta stop and gawk!

I hope everyone would have experienced this irrespective of the car model and its engine specs. The occasional moment when you are in the mood to have fun and the engine also is in tune, hand and leg co-ordination exerts the exact gear ratio and the car just zips through the traffic with butter smooth, precise gear shifts. I mean the engine will be in sync with your mind to fun whichever car it is, since having fun is not directly proportional to bhp and torque. You give me the humble Nano and i'll still have fun with it my way.
I hope i had put it the way I wanted everyone to understand.

When you wash the car to gleaming shine, i find my car smiling and seems to be happy after pampering.

I enjoy the moment when my Bolero moves 7 people effortlessly from an underground parking up a ramp, the moment I put it in 1st/2nd gear and release the clutch without acceleration. Yes, its the low end torque I live for!

2nd best would be the moment when I open all windows on an early morning drop to bus stand and hear the engine grunt! absolutely love it

The first thing which strikes a chord in my heart is :
The engine growl while accelerating my Ford Fusion 1.6
Its one of a kind and I absolutely love it.

Its quite unique like Premier Padmini or Kinetic Honda both of which are also my fav as far as engine growl is concerned while accelerating, Yamaha RX100's engine sound looked more of a drummer playing which also was awesome and surely pulled my heart strings.

If you ask the second thing which strikes a chord, its the Braking and deceleration on my T-Jet which makes me grin ear to ear and I often end up saying to my wife, 'its not the way a car gathers speed is important, its the manner in which it stops' which according to me is an important parameter to judge a good car and my Linea is excellent in that.

My Ecosport

It may not be real hell on wheels
It may not be the 'butch-est' of them all
But what i love is the way it feels
The solid build and the seating tall.
