My prseent car is Wagon R Duo Lxi.
I will be in market for a new sedan on Jan 2010. Presently Iam looking at Linea MJT. But if Fiat launches 1.4 Turbo petrol by then , I may go for it.

I am in market now and have cornered two options:
1. VW Jetta
2. Fiat Linea MJD
Jetta is bit out of my reach whereas Linea, there may be 1.6 MJD engine coming soon so dunno if it is tht wise.
I have to buy a sedan and diesel one at tht. Am not a fan of chevrolet brand, for tht matter any american brand Ford included so they are out.
Any views or opinions are most welcome and.

Fiat Linea 1.9 MJD if launched in the next year. Else, a Corolla Altis (the Level 2 trim level version)
Oh, and an i10 for the Mrs. is definitely on the cards

Tata concept sedan looks quite good in pictures. When it comes out with a quadrajet 1.6 and less panel gaps that should change the playing field and perception about Tata vehicles as a whole. I guess its design cues come from the Jag stable. Hopefully they will release it by 2010 fourth quarter when the recession may ease off and nano sales stabilizes.
If it happens it might be the car to get.

might sound stupid but my next car can be anywhere in the segment of 10-20 lakhs.
I like the following cars. any one of which can be the one:
1) New Honda City I-VTEC AT
2) Fiat Linea if they launch the 1.6 or the 1.9 MJD
3) Toyota Corolla AT
4) upcoming new Skoda Laura 1.8 TSI if the A.S.S. issues are solved
5) upcoming new Mitsubishi Lancer (dont know what it will named here in india)
6) VW Jetta if they offer free maintenance for 3-5 years
7) Toyota Fortuner
8) Honda Accord
9) Skoda superb 1.8 TSI
Its tempting to go for a car in the 10 lakh segment and save some money but then again the tempt of the car itself is far greater so might end up buying a 20 lakh car too. who knows? it will depend on various factors when in the market for actually buying one. god its too confusing even now. what will happen when I actually will be in the market for one?!

After about five years. It will be a diesel. Either a new hatch or a sparingly used sedan.

For satisfying the travel bug within me I need an SUV as my next vehicle but its high cost of ownership is beyond my means. Since the next car is at least three years away I am hoping for new launches in the Ford Fusion TDCi class in the mean time.
