No reverse parking sensor for a 15 lac+ car?!! Now thats some serious omission ! Most of the parts look classic in terms of quality. But +1 on the TC & Fog lamp switches !

Looks like a Yokohama dB series tire. But surprisingly they have not downsized the wheel+higher profile tire like the Civic. Bold move?

Thanks for the pics deky.

Black interiors would have looked more sportier in the Kizashi. Beige interiors make it seem a bit boring and mature. But, good to see that the AT version comes with paddle shifters.

Thanks - That is useful. Actually it confirms most of my concerns on maintaining a black car. Asking my car wash guy to keep an exclusive soft cloth for just my car will be pushing it and I won't have any way to track that (Unless I double/triple his take home), and I don't have a driver either who will diligently do that. I do have a closed parking but not sure I can trust myself to take the car for a quarterly polish job. In fact a big reason for looking to buy the Kizashi is that Marutis/Suzukis do not get garage-sick too often

WOW! That's costly for a Maruti. Is that ex showroom or on road price? I seriously think that it needs to compete with CIVIC rather than Accord. India will simply not accept a 'smaller' (than full sized luxury sedans-Superb and Accord)sized Maruti for more than CIVIC/COROLLA price.

Had they looked at making it here and borrowed a diesel engine from VW (big brother now?), it would have had a much better chance.

But, the quality levels look better than the Jap competitors (Corolla?)

4 buttons on key fob - door open / door lock / boot open / 4th one?

I had noticed the difference in mileage during the OD test drive - Automatic is marginally better ! So can we expect a wind of change in this too? Auto box getting popular because of higher efficiency?!

And thats some good figures on 0-100 !! Lets see whats final pricing upto.

Wow!!! We get the Rockford Fosgate System??!!! This is Awesome! Are you sure this isn't an option? If you are judging based on the looks of the centre console, both look the same. Except in one case, there is the Rockford Fosgate branding on the top right of the lcd screen. (See attachment)

They have increased the GC by 10mm compared to the US version. It's good that they didn't overdo it.

0-100 in 7.8 Seconds - Niceee!

The steering already offers BMW 3 series type feel. If the engine is smooth, then, this is the perfect car for me...

Funny how none of the indian reviewers talked about the soft touch materials on the dash & doors, the satin feel of the buttons on the music system, the quietness in the cabin etc etc... They just kept talking about rear leg space.
Now, the question is, can I afford it? Will have to wait & see.

Thanks for the info Sid.

The image below is the Kisashi's Key fob. The 4th button seems to be something for controlling the alarm tone. BTW does it come with keyless ignition.

None of the cars that have been spotted in India or even the ones that landed in Mumbai have the Rockford Fosgate logo on the stereo. I doubt we're getting it. Also the bluetooth seems to missing on the Indian version. (no logo again on the stereo)

The Spec Sheet is out on the Fb page of Kizashi. The kerb weight for the manual is 1460 kg and for auto is 1500 kg. According to my math Kizashi has the highest power to weight ratio in the following (fairly accomplished) pack - Laura TSI (116 bhp/tonne), Yeti (91), AN City (106), Civic (108), Accord (118). Kizashi is 120 bhp/tonne for the manual version (117 for the auto). That, to a large extent, explains the 7.8 seconds to a ton figure.

I sat in the Kizashi (pics previous page) Did'nt even give me a feel at any angle or at any seating position of sitting in a 16+ Lakh car. Everything was so plain and bland!! If the pricing is what its mentioned earlier then Cruz/ Altis now really look like VFM.
