I have never heard of this FATC acronym. Did any particular manufacturer come up such a silly acronym (I said silly because the pronunciation would be akin to fat-sy).

FATC is Hyundai's way of saying ACC

OT: spotted this odd looking I10 with black interiors outside HMP. Something fishy?

^^I am wondering whether they are coming out with a bare "er" model at a lower price with the 1.0 litre engine. But boy, does the car look ugly!

How to make a good-looking car ugly ?

Ask Hyundai.

First the Verna Transform and now the FL'ed i10

"i10 cab" is the first thought that came to my mind looking at this.

Does the i10 come with non-body colour bumpers now, in its lower version.

If not sure a way to bring down the cost, looks like the Hyundai is trying out a bare body offering, to make sure its competing with the VFM cars like Vista, Figo etc.

Hope they manage to get it to the current Santro price range.

@ sidindica - Nice catch there, but the fact is this car has none of the features that were present in the 3 test mules spotted in NH4.

Maybe Hyundai is mixing things around and this bare-basic i10 (D-Lite in their terms) will come without the face-lift. But yes, it looks like a cab. But going by all these, I guess black colored interiors is finally coming to the i10 for sure. That would be a big relief for most people.

khoda pahad nikli chuhiya....lolz

That car was a august 2007 pre production model used as a "training car" for technicians before the I10 was launched in India. Confirmed by a person working there.

mTorque, the facelift is likely to be released by Oct. 2010. Again this is based on some blog when googled. I guess the new version of i10 might be a real facelift like the verna rather than any changes to the engine.

Another factor to consider, Most of the car makers recently increased price for a second time, where as i10 price did not go up. So i assume there is a very good chance the price will be higher whenever the new model comes out. Also there is possibility of "model end" discounts for the current model. I personally will wait for the new model, but some people rather take advantage of the discounts..

i10 is inflation-proof

i meant it is already over priced. Thats why you always get discounts on the car.
