Nice pictures. Yes, it is the closest pictures of the new Verna in India.

On the downside, there are no audio controls buttons on the steering, no central arm rest at the rear seat and the two-tone beige+black doesn't look too good.

I think this is one of the lower-spec variants of the Verna. Because, having loaded the i10 to the gills with many features including steering-mounted audio controls and everything, we can safely expect the new Verna to be fully-loaded.

The test mule is an automatic! So that's good news for many! And this would also mean that Hyundai is looking to introduce the auto-tranny Verna along with the manual one simultaneously. Not to mention the fact that this one looks like the mid/entry level Verna, and it would be available with an automatic transmission! Is that a first?

Looks like it is a first in this segment.

Something in lines with H3 and H4 automatic from Pre-Altis Corolla.

The present diesel Verna (Transform) already has an auto version

@Rigid Rotor - The point MAS was mentioning is different variants with AT, it’s a usual syndrome with manufacturers to launch AT model only in 1 variant that too fully loaded. Now, Hyundai is trying something new by launching one base model and top end with AT.

Is it just me or does anyone else find the model too much close to the Fiesta sedan to be launched in India mid of this year.
I am shocked how the two cars look so similar between them.
Like the one given in the link below

come on, why does every new launch thread become a Maruti bashing thread. Dont forget its after all MSIL which leads the numbers game.

All-righty, right!! I missed that very important point - giving the option of AT across the range of variants

I like the grey /black interiors far better than the beige which we will get but can anybody confirm whether the new verna will have an automatic diesel or not.I hope they give us the six speed auto instead of the old four speed which is very boring and non-fuel efficient.

Wow. I am loving the design of the new Accent sedan. Just imagine - this Verna and the new Fiesta both are looking mighty good and sporty compared to the existing cars, which are pretty bland.

At last, Hyundai is getting a family look of its own with the hexagonal grille and the 3-d effect headlights. The Accent hatchback however looks very similar to the i30 (when viewed from profile).

The hatchback shown above should have more head room than the sedan.

The more I see the pictures, the more I'm liking it. I just hope the car looks this good in flesh.

Is the hatch in the photo a new i20? The duo look very aggressive. I'm loving it!!!

How about a 1.6 U2 series CRDI with 126 PS? The hatch is the verna hatch/ accent hatch for america markets, not the I20.
