The front of the car reminds me of the newly upgraded i10. Seems they are going to follow the same trend as the bigwigs of auto industry in maintaining a corporate front-end appearance all across its model range.

But given the global position Hyundai has reached now, I feel its a good move to give the brand some identity. However, I wish they do it more like BMWs and Mercedes and not like Audi where the only way to differentiate is to measure the length of their cars.

Don't like the front end of the car though the rear looks very good with that exhaust tip.
The front fog lamps look a little weird.
Will Hyundai launch it will rear disc brakes or will they skimp on it for the Indian market.

Kodaikanal? How come it evaded all the eyes in Chennai? Anyway, I don't think it will be launched in India sooner; I would expect it to be available for export first followed by Indian market. But still spotted at Kodaikanal is something surprising for me.

Rear end looks quite similar to the All new 2011 Verna. However front end looks quite ugly!

Wow, spotted in Kodaikanal ? I got to keep my eyes alert when going out . That place is just 200kms away from my place. It would be roaming around Chennai too.

also in one of the pictures there's a Honda city, maybe Hyundai is using that as a benchmark?

Thanks for the news, the raging bull.

This is the actual car. The taillight contours of the second car match perfectly with the first spy shot.

So we will have the Accent, the Verna and the Lingua(or some such stuff???) Co-existing? Looks like this car can be (as with Verna in the past) slotted above its predecessor.

BH.

verna transform has to be replaced asap BS design, oddly enough the new Civic and Jetta are also sad creations :( dam

The new Elantra does seem miles ahead in terms of design.

Is it just me or do the headlights have a 95% resemblance with the new i10 headlights?

Hardly a looker.Whatever happened to the fluidity in the designs Hyundai?

It looks way way better than the ugly droopy verna transform.
As theragingbull suggested it will have Hyundai's new 1.4 and 1.6 Gamma petrol engines, producing 106bhp and 122bhp respectively.
But what about the diesel I hope they'll still continue with that.
Any interior pics ??

Ugh!

The front seems to borrow heavily from the i20. The rear looks bad with the trunk's arch top.
They could have just kept it down and helped rear visibility as well. The tail lights aren't all the great. And side profile seems heavily inspired by the ANHC.

Disappointing design.
