Guys are you creating a new thread for November sales numbers?
Can the Nano only sell 509 units in November? Really? This looks like the car's career is over already???
Would love your opinion on this...
Matt

Breakup

Spark - 2786
Beat - 2574
UVA - 291
Aveo - 297
Optra - 262
Cruze - 617
Tavera - 1,476
Captiva - 100

Hopefully we will see the diesel beat come out in the next month or so and change some of these numbers up!!
I think it is still a respectable number for UVA and Aveo. However, I feel they would get discontinued soon along with Optra. Beat should come soon in the diesel avatar.

Sad but true. Don't know what is still wrong with Fiat or people.

Poor numbers from Fiat could be due to shutdown for plant maintenance. Last year too, Fiat reported miserable numbers at around the same time (Nov or Dec).

What is the real issue behind 509 nano sales?. Do they have some production constraints in their new Sanand plant?

@ Latheesh, I think it is because of people's perception towards the car. From a rockstar, it is suddenly a car that burns while on the move (my family is against the nano, because of this; I know, the problem is resolved). Further, it is a great "kart" but still lacks some practical features like access to dicky, the rickshaw sound, absence of a LHS rear view mirror, some funky interiors.

Default 3-fold increase for FORD

Car maker Ford India today reported about a three-fold increase in its November sales at 7,504 units on the back of its latest small car Figo garnering a good response.

The company sold 2,520 units in the same month last year, Ford India said in a statement today.

From January to November, 2010, the company has sold 79,586 units, compared to a total of 27,906 units for the same period last year, the statement added.

Waiting for the model-wise detailed breakup!!

No access to dicky!
What does that mean?

My bad! I meant a hatch or in simple words, the tailgate.

The issue is that Nano has no takers!

It falls in a no mans land really. The fact is that not many one-car-for-us-only buyers are going to buy a nano. Most such families will try to stretch budgets to get an alto.

Nano will mostly land up as a 2nd or a 3rd car for the upper middle class.

Note from Team-BHP Support : Please continue the discussion on the November 2010 sales thread (November 2010 - Indian car sales figures)
