Default Spotted: All new TUCSON

Hi All,

Just spotted an All new TUCSON near AJC Bose Road in Kolkata. Looks like Hyundai is planning to launch this in India. Pics are attached. Pardon me for the poor quality pics.

Default Awesome !

Well done bro. That is a great catch indeed, i love the ix35/Tucson and i was wondering why they wouldn't launch it in a hurry in india. Honda with its crazy CRV pricing has left a huge void in the 15-20 Lakh SUV/Soft UV market with only the Yeti being choice. The interiors on the IX35 are awesome and this car if priced at around 16-17 Lakh will find a lot of takers. We know how good CRDI engines are!

Whoa this looks really nice, It should give a really good competition to the other Suv's if launched at a good price.

Wow that a good news

I used to love this car / suv but it flopped only because of its pricing.Wish it is relaunched at a VFM pricing

I'm sorry to be a wet blanket mate but don't cars meant for Bhutan pass through Kolkata sometimes?

That BTN registration number does ring a bell........

I donít think it is meant for India. The Temp no seems like a Bhutan no. The picture is taken near race course en route from the docks I guess.

Sorry did not see Suman's post

You seem to be right there bro. It does not seem like its for India. Besides, they would have had some sort of camo on it.

If that's true its too bad. I'd have loved to see this car in India. In a price range of 16-18 Lacs it could have really changed the game in Sub 20L SUV's.

Yeah. Thats where I spotted the car. But shouldn't a car meant for Bhutan be driving the other way (India to Bhutan)?

I sadly agree to the above posts saying its not meant for India but elsewhere :(
Hope Hyundai launches this soon. This design is also part of the new Fluidic Sculpture theme being used by Hyundai in all models these days.

Tuscon aka ix35. Looks good and big. We just got the Santa Fe and hence would this to come to India now?

Hyundai should have launched this rather than the Santa Fe. An ix35 with a powerful diesel and auto transmission at about 15-16 lacs, I will be the 1st one to buy it.

Seems this Tucson is headed for Bhutan as mentioned by others. I've myself seen some Land Cruiser Prado's and Amazon's around Sikkim and West Bengal bearing Bhutan plates. So probably this one's not for India as for now.

nice catch!
however i doubt this is coming in now that they've barged in with the Santa Fe at a silly price.
Unless they intend replicating their earlier strategy and bringing in the IX35 also at a similar price as the Tucson.

I wonder when they will bring in the I 30 then - because that is also an excellent large hatch - a couple of sizes more than the I 20!
