Its been some time since the car was launched internationally and good to know they getting it to india soon. The exteriors are more evolutionary than revolutionary but One of the best interiors i personally feel among the big 4 sedans. Much much better than the spartan mercedes and the highly ridimentry Bmw. The jag xj is a different story. They should bring the 4.2 diesel v8 too .

The interiors look absolutely gorgeous. Esp with the executive rear seat package. With the right options for the leather and trims the rear seat would be a place worth fighting for (at least it appears so from the pics). I'm wondering how much difference in the perceived quality would be there between this and say Bentley FS - apart from the badge/snob value. (I know there is a gap of at least one full A8 L between them price-wise) Last edited by entropy : 15th December 2010 at 13:46.

WOW finally a true competitor to the S-class and the 7series. Awesome piece of engineering. Lets see how the Indian Janta accepts it.

Rs. 73L for the TDV6 is real competitive pricing. The 7 and S are at least 10L more. Even the 4.2V8 petrol at 85L might just decimate the competitors' petrols, which are priced similarly, but come with 6 cylinder engines. Jaguar has readied the V6 Diesel of the XJ, so it might be an interesting bout. And, what will now become of the Phaeton 3.6V6 petrol at 70L plus? The standard Audi dealership package of 1 year waiting list better not play spoilsport, though.

The Interiors are drop dead gorgeous and looks better than the 7 and the S. I suppose its more on the lines of Panamera. It also won the golden steering award of AutoBild I suppose, even beating the Bentley.

Personally, I love this car, like I love all Audis. The interiors seem top class, and can probably give the S a run for its money. I just hope it does well, I really do.

Wow! That surely is a monster. And the interiors are just awesome! Finally, the A8 is going to give some tough competition to the 7 and the S! Best of luck AUDI! :-D

| Distinguished - BHPian ![]() | Great scoop Sid! This is a car we have been eagerly waiting for, and it has the promise to change Audis image in India. The BMW 7 series is too much like the smaller 5 series inside, and the S Class really has a very simple dash. However, for the same price as an S350 CDI or 730Ld, one can easily get this with many options such as the rear seat package, and premium sound system. Quick Questions: Do you know the pricing of the options? Can we customize the car to our liking, with our choice of interior and exterior color, etc.? | I am sure this would steal the show from 7 series and S-class, Excellently build in car keeping in mind customer comfort is the key. I especially like the executive rear seat package, its simple the best a car can get. And need to mention its smart price tag which is well below S and 7. Kudos to VW for bringing in more and more eye catching models to India. Long Live VW |

The interiors are absolutely fantastic! The panoramic roof is offered in the S500 and Jaguar XJL, so i wonder if Audi is offering that in the A8L ?

Beautiful Interiors but one thing I don't like. Wouldn't the person sitting on the rear right have to get in and out of the side with street traffic since sliding over isn't possible. Seems like it would be a little unsafe, and that person would have to always be very careful when opening his door to get out.
