Diesel Lancers which have low ODO readings are running for 4L, mostly.
If you can stretch for around 25K more than what you have and haggle hard, you might be in luck.

Is this worth buying? I am worried about the service and spares, could someone please help me in deciding on this. I am in Bangalore and would like to know its service and spare availability.

A Bala: I think you can get a well maintained Baleno for that price[02 or 03 model] or even a City 1.3exi[02]. Search well and i am sure u will find one.

Thanks dude, what could be the best price for that model, moreover, i would be interested to know whether the maintenance is a costly affair for this model or is it normal and the availability of the spares as well. Thanks for your suggestion.

Its better to avoid buying Indica,especially second hand one,because of high parts cost.I am assuming you are buying one for personal use.These second hand Indicas generally used like in Kolkata for commercial use.Odometer reading is not very reliable.A typical commercially used(but not licenced as commercial,you know its common in Kolkata) runs 6000km permonth typically.
I know,you are opting for a diesel one for the high cost of petrol.But,Indica will not solve your problem.You can think about Alto Lxi/Lx as an alternative with low maintenance cost,high mileage(17-18 Kmpl),excellent service backup.Also you can visit the maruti true value showroom at Dorga road,or just see the website.You will get warranty for that you are buying.

My friend brought a 2004 corsa royal for 1 lac in hyderabad, car had all the accessories you mentioned as they come standard. The owner sold his car because for minor issues with he had to wait for weeks for the parts to arrive. I would suggest you stay away from this car. You can easily get a used baleno 2003 model for 2-2.25, and a OHC for the same price. last year saw a 2001 V tec for 2.10(nego), Look out well, you will find a better deal, as for this car 1 lac should be more than enough.

That's too much for an Opel Corsa, It's bit difficult to source the parts of the Opel these days.Better avoid this deal

Indeed too much for a opel corsa.. I would say one can buy a maintained OHC in the asked price. Better take him along with a the car to a dealer and ask him to give you the car for 10K + dealer price Will make you life easier.

In this price[2.1L] you wont get a vtec in bangalore for sure,forget about vtec i dont think even a 01 1.3EXi will be available for this rate. And what i heard from my friend in Kerala,Vtec is expensive in Kerala also.
I think 2.5L to 2.75L will be a good range if you are looking for Baleno[03-04] or H.City 1.5exi[01].
