The Sporty variant would have definitely been a killer with the following:

- Leather Steering Wheel.
- Wooden Dashboard finish.
- Leather Seats.
- Additional HeadLamps or as some may call it - fog lamps.

and ofcourse.. little bit more power!

It wouldnt make sense to get a elegant version and change bumpers, add spoiler etc. More expensive.

The Cedia may be a dud in stock form as sold here, BUT, for someone with a bit of foresight and a bit more cash in his wallet, this could be the ultimate car to tune in India.

The number of ready hop-up parts available, both for the engine as well as the suspension, is mindblowing! I look at it more as a blank slate.

Still, thats no excuse for HM to palm off the engine to us in this low state of tune.

If I were HM I wold setup a Ralliart shop in India seeing the number of boyracers wanting to tune their lancers for performance.

How about a factory fitter lancer pumping out more than 160hp???

Civic is a good car but be ready to shell out a lakh or two more. I am sure that civic will be priced in Skoda octavia RS territory with power figures close to 135hp

I am really waiting for the Civic too. I went to test drive the Corolla recently but dont like the looks of the car. Even though I feel it has been improved a lot with the recent change that happened with the car.

As soon as I thought of comparing the car with the civic, I felt probably I would be buying a car which is just a shade lower and then in the next one year or so an upgraded model with better looks would be out. And I would be driving an older version. Which doesnt seem to be the threat in case of buying a civic.....just a thought.

Seen the Cedia. Looks pretty neat. The sports trim is a notch above. Looks amazing in the yellow and red shade. Even the black looks good on it. Its got skirting all around with a decent spoiler. The interiors are a crossover between the Evo and our apna Indian Lancer.

The Elegant on the other hand is a simplified version, but anyday better than the Corolla. Both are priced at 11.24lacs on road Mumbai.

But i see the sports selling in much higher numbers. Metro Motors has already booked close to 200 Cedia's.
