The discount scheme has been extended till 31st Jan 2006 or till stocks last.
Just saw the ad in today's Mid Day but i think it's only available for G1 models.
Can someone confirm because whenever i call up, the corporate office is busy and they will call me back later.

Just got a call from them.
It seems the 80K discount is valid only on the G1 models and there is no discount on the V models. If you go for 2005 make, you will get a discount of 45000 on outright and 5.5% additional on finance.
The colours available in stock are mainly Beige, green, red.

Default Why Innova Petrol.

Hi Samurai

Here is why I chose Petrol Innova:

- Our mileage is only 40 kms a day. The low mileage is not justifying higher capital cost difference on the diesel version and higher maintenence cost
- We plan to use the vehicle for atleast 5 years. Depreciation and resale hence are not that important
- The diesel problems mentioned on this forum deterred me too - I just wanted to play it very safe with my hard-earned money and no problems have been reported on the petrol version
- I did find the petrol version comparatively smoother in the test drive

By the way, since the discount has now been extended to G3 version, I booked a G3 petrol (silver) and will get delivery on saturday. Finance@1.2% means effective savings of Rs 90,000 over normal financing. Also, got a whopping 65% no claims transferred from our maruti 800 insurance to the innova, bringing down the innova's insurance costs by a whopping Rs 20,000. Too good to be true, but oriental has given us a quote

Regards
Manish

40Kms/day is low? Most people would think that's on the higher side justifying a diesel model. BTW, I do 4Kms/day which can be called really low.

It is low in the context of diesel break-even which everyone knows is around 75 kms per day.

Well, I was not aware of this 75Kms figure, is that the one for Innova? I thought that figure depended on the price, FE, maintenance charges of a given car. I have heard of threshold figure as low as 30Kms/day, although I don't remember for which car.
