I really wish that F iat Had a JV with a non car manufacturer . Something like a component manufacturer like Kirloskar. That way both will benefit equally like Kirloskar right now making gearboxes for Toyota , fiat could have ofund a similar JV . With Fiat - Tata I feel Tata has 75% advantage and both manufacture competetive entry level cars........Maybe they have worked out everything but somehow I dont think its going to make a sea change for Fiat .

Atleast FIAT has a 25% advantage....after all whats wrong in Tata's having the advantage? Ultimately we want good cars, whether its tata punto or fiat punto, if its the same car, I dont care which brand it comes out with, in current scenario, its really good for fiat. I dont think they would have stood a chance with a kirloskar like tie-up.
