I doubt that.
It is most probably an oversight in the Thar we were driving. Please note that our Thar was over 36k kms done and had participated in a lot of rallies.

The complete rally involved about 20 Time Checks. That would leave the Medai teams with very little chance of getting acquainted with the vehicle and participants.
Plus its a lot of stress trying to maintain the fixed speeds.
So Mahindra Adventure gave the Media Teams the option of competing against each other for the first 5 Time Checks.

To be a part of this category, you need to be invited by Mahindra Adventure as a media team.

Congratulations guys and great job. I love TSD rallies. I've attended one each in Bombay and Pune where our navigators were blind with a tulip in braille (link in noopster's post). It is quite challenging since you cannot make your own assumptions and corrections and are dependant 100% on your navigator. It's fun to add and subtract odometer readings when you overshoot a turn or take a wrong curve. Quite challenging but the low average speeds keep you going.

Congratulations once again as doing this over three days is not easy.
