How do you manage to have such a difference in you tyre sizes. Doesn't it affect you handling big time?

Regarding your tires, since your profile is a little taller at the rear and narrower it could lead to little oversteer in corners. But one might not be able to figure the difference unless driving really flat out. You should not have too many problems. So chill maadi. You car could slide around a bit if you push it hard, but with that happening you my friend will have a pretty big smile on your face. If I were you, I wouldn't be that worried. Just to let you know I have run a similar setup on track too. 13's in front and 14's at the rear. Only because I was too lazy to change the front tires and I didn't want to loose track time .

175,80,R14 is such an odd size. My tyres were brand new and I was not getting any money for them (for exchange), so I retained them. I haven't felt any handling issues so far. Although I drove my car with these tyres from Ahmedabad - Goa - Bangalore (there were some extremely bad patches of road) 6 weeks back. My car is Fiat Adventure.

Ajmat, I don't know how many are going to stay back for Sunday too. Those staying back will have to go to that resort next to the track itself. Pleasant Days seems to be the best choice available.

John, I would really appreciate the help. See if you can call up Pleasant Days and book a room for Ajit (if we have two more we can anyways order an extra bed). I still don't have the confirmed numbers on how many are planning to stay back for Sunday. I will be travelling in a couple of hours to Rameswaram, Madurai & Kodaikanal and will be off the net till Tuesday night. So, I request all those coming from Bangalore to kindly PM esteem_lover to organize acco. Thanks John.

I do hope we are going to follow the basic precautions like all braking and seat-belt systems in full function. Also, Helmets - please ensure that during your time on th track - you have a fully functional helmet that you are comfortable with.

Ok guys, I have never been on a track except on the xbox 360

Now me and a buddy are really excited about this track day (after we got over the fact that my santro can be driven on the track) and more-so after we saw the corners on the track

I just got back from a long trip from my hometown pune and hence didn't talk much on this thread last few days, so below is a set of questions I have been wanting to ask which will help me decide

1) where do i buy the slicks (800 rs per slick jk tyre wala good ones)

2) should i also get stock-like steel rims instead of alloys

3) do i carry the slicks and rims to chennai and then change em there or drive in them from bangy itself (dangerous??). Is there a facility on the track to change tires/rims in a way which is safe enough for driving on track

4) Cost ?? How much will it cost - how much fuel to get to the track (bangy to chennai distance) and how much fuel should i budget for on the track. How much do i budget in all (food, fuel, et al included)

5) How many people are coming to bangy on sat itself. I'm not comfy with the route especially night and need to tail someone to and fro (plz not mclaren at 230 )
