We checked out the Indica racecar at Coimbatore and they drove a few laps after the races. It sounded real sweet. It was white with blue racing stripes like a dodge viper.

I saw the car at CBE, it looked really good, and as nitrous mentioned, sounded great too.
Although I dont know how much it will benefit those who want to take racing up as a career option, rather it will offer an easy way out for well-settled people who want to take up weekend racing without having the hassle of getting a normal car converted to race spec, with the accompanying reliability problems.

But I have a (n00bish) doubt, and that is, is this car fully road legal? Can it be registered? What about the insurance related stuff?

Please note this car would be available in Limited quantities (Maybe 15) only thru J Anand and not thru Tata dealers.

Not the one on the original dash ... as when racing one will have to connect it to a shift light and the original Tacho will not be of much use .

The tacho in the Instrument panel looks like it is purpose made. rpm is calibrated to 8k and I guess there will also be a shift light in it.

Edit - there is a shift light on the 7 mark.
