We all know that cricket is by far the most watched sport in our country and a lot of us petrol heads arent that happy about it. Corporations are more interested in sponsoring in sponsoring a cricket team than a motorsport team. However there are a few exceptions of companies that have sponsored motorsports. How about compiling a list of Indian companies that have taken an interest in Motorsport. Im sure it would not only be interesting to read but may also provide information for those looking for a sponsorship.

wow.. thats quite a collection there Khanak! But the sad truth is that its still less than a dozen sponsors (counting all UB group companies as one):
- Amaron Batteries
- Speed
- Tata Motors
- Kingfisher (UB)
- Dalmore (UB)
- Royal Challenge (UB)
- ICICI Bank
- Reliance Industries
- Sidvin Core Tech
- JK Tyre
- Bharat Petroleum
- Cidco
- Autocar
- MRF
Whereas a single racer in the US has this many sponsors.
but... as they say.. you need to start somewhere.

The list is still incomplete. Im sure people who are actually involved in motorsport may be able to come up with some more names.
Guess Castrol does some sponsorship too. Dont remember exactly though. But in a very small amount though.

That's because there's not enough people in India who come to watch or even enough cars on the grid.
As an example, a very local event here (not even regional, mind you) like an autocross or trackday here will have
atleast 50 cars showing up. A regional event will have 150 or more cars showing up.
Methods too is very much involved in sponsorship.
