Default GTO Reports : Timings, Pics and Videos

Video - SL55 vs Ferrari

Video - BZen vs Baleno

Video - Doms Civic : 9500rpm

The SpeedRun EMPEROR

JD Madan and his EVO convert Lancer came...they saw...they conquered. Nothing could touch this combination, he whupped the lights out of whatever competition it saw in Mumbai.

His timing? 12.473 seconds to the 1/4 - Fastest time of the day.

But the real beauty is the useability of this machine. I believe Madan and Team-BHPian "Sideways" drove down from the South. On the highway. Filling regular fuel. Not like the other supercars whose owners waxed and cleant. This man means business.

The car that slaughtered the Ferrari. Believe it or not, at full throttle the SL55 AMG sounded way more superior and aggressive than the italian stallion. As someone commented before, the Ferrari was probably the worst driven car on Sunday. Some say that the Ferrari was lower on torque, that a manual is more difficult to launch, that the Ferrari was still being run in. Not only was this the first time most saw a Ferrari at full throttle...the first was also a Ferraris loss.

Manual gearshift or not, The SL55 won hands down. Well driven RG.

Domnics Civic! Fantastically modified and a true wolf in sheeps clothing. Its a compliment to you if your Honda is pitted against a Ferrari 360 and a Subaru Impreza WRX STi. Not only did the Civic have a better launch than the STi, it also stamped the finish line before the white Subaru.

The video is there for all to see. The way this beast revvs to 9500 rpm will set your pulse racing.

American Muscle - The Vette alongwith Nevilles Mustang filled up the second and third fastest car of the day spots.

Neville Poonawala in his home built Turbo + City. Though he had a better start, the Accord eventually took it at the finish line.

These three races were termed as the "silent" races. As the term would suggest, no one could tell that a race was on. These autos were too darned quite...even compared to free flowed 800's!

The Orange City is modified by Karan Shah and clocked a 14.8x the previous day. But this light weight zen (with plastic in place of doors) was supposed to be running a Honda engine.

Desire, desire, desire - The BMW M3!

More mods = Better times! Nevilles Mustang which clocked a 12.816 time (Second fastest of the day)

No Competition.

Can you beat this? Within a month of deliveries in north america, the C6 made its presence at the Mumbai SpeedRun. It looked to compact and nimble. If the reviews are anything to go by, it betters the handling and interior quality (a huge grudge) of the previous Vette.

German Muscle beside American muscle.

The 6. And the 7 kicking the 6' butt.

Chevys SSR. IMHO too fugly.

I have noticed everywhere, the one car/driver who is not being mentioned at all but definitely needs to be, The BMW 760Li of Michelle Poonawala. I mean cmon, she defeated a 645 AND THE 360 (!!!) in a complete 5 seater, uber-luxurious, auto-shift gearbox, 4-door sedan!!! And one tiny bit that she was a girl!!!

Sahil, that Accord was also heavily modified. NOS is confirmed and there were rumors on a turbo.

You mean to say that Nitroux did not keep you entertained till the drag started? Hahaha, just kidding. Well, the race in person was not as loud and brash as we expected it to be either.

Spot on Grim!! She sure deserves a mention.
