Volunteer for Renault F1 demo

Any one interested to invest few hours of time on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th at India Gate Delhi?

The return for investment would be ringside (okay track side) view of Renault F1 cars in action, Megan sports in action and Renault stunt drivers in action. Yes this is India Gate Delhi.

You will need three passport sized photos. Volunteers with past experience of marshaling or participating in other motorsport events would be given preference.

For now in Delhi only. They do this in five/six cities across the world every year. Northern Motorsport is helping them with volunteers and marshals.

It is a fantastic visual spectacle, executed by the ING Renault F1 Team, conducted on public roads and open to the public - who get a chance to see the amazing ING Renault F1 cars, driven by the official ING Renault F1 Team drivers, along with a range of other Renault cars & specialist stunt drivers - at close quarters

Bevy of Renault cars, including two F1's, would be on display through Saturday and Sunday at India Gate, New Delhi. They would do demo laps on a 2.6 km circuit on Sunday. So it is not just static display.

Only in Delhi this time.

Renault has delivered their promise of showcasing F1 & sports cars in India (although restricted to one city). Hope the event is as good as the one in South Africa (telecast on TV shows few months back).

I have heard the the Mclaren F1 car is going to be in Mumbai for a street run - Marine Drive mostly.

Timings for Marshals:
Saturday practice 1300-1500
Sunday event 1200-1600 (Two rounds)

It is the same road show as was done in South Africa along with stunt drives by worlds leading stunt driver. There was a press conference today and some ads in the papers..

Oh it was fun and tiring. The sound made by the Toon stunt cars and the Megan trophy cars was awesome and man what control these guys displayed. As it was set up practice so no F1 run.
The program is that the parade will start with Power-Paragliders and Demo cars doing a display. This will be followed by Logan snake - a bunch of six ordinary cars doing doing some incredible co-ordinated driving. Then comes the toon cars doing stunt driving. Last is the F1 cars doing a run up and down a straight plus doing donuts at four designated places.
All the marshal's got opportunity to be right next to all the acrs and e demo of F1 engine firing and tuning. We hope to meet Piquet and De-Grassy - the Renault drivers tomorrow and may be get a picture clicked next to them.
