How Come I missed you all... I was there... I met up with arush...

By the way Mrs. Autopsyche (Arush's wife) did some really nice driving with the Corolla. It was pretty impressive.

Sudevs run with the Vitara was something else. Was worth watch it do the maneuvers with such ease.

but the E-Zen stole the show away. Another car which stole the show was the yellow Esteem and the grey Esteem. They were precision driving.

Both the days were awesome fun!

I couldn't enter coz I was late in reaching for the entries apparently. I had reached at 1 on saturday but apparently entries were closed off.

Noidaboy's initial run was not that good.. but his second run was better, but I wonder why he ran away. I feel his car underperformed a bit.

Huh?? That was Gaurav Chiripal. I was on the track all day wearing a marshal's jersey or getting pit babes to pose with all participants.

We have a simple rule - You can be either an official or a participant.

No no! The car was not that big a issue,The hand brake was an issue but i could had tackled with it,this year i could not get the time to get my car prepared in advance.

I had to be at work because i was not getting the 2day's off,I thought i would get enough time to come back if i make it to the finals.But i only got roughly 15mins.In that case i could had never made it back in time.
My luck,my bad,Im sad..Maybe next year(its an addiction)

But it was fun participating. Tarmac seemed more challenging than the dirt track's like previous years. But im glad this year again the organizer's gave a superb event to participate,well organized indeed (Cheer leaders included). It was much fair,To give 1+1free run.Helped alot of us to grab better timings.

I hope it keeps getting better and better. They should organize it 2-3times a year atleast ..

Agreed. They should organize it more often.

I thought I had recognized your car but I wasn't sure exactly so din't walk up. Later found out from Arush that it indeed was you. Will definitely try and meet up with you sometime.

thank you everyone for all the support.

@sudev nice pics

the event went off well, just waking up after a long week, get the car setup. we did qualify quickest but the times were not as quick as i expected, then sunday morning my old friend mr. sidhu posted a couple of times just a second off.so going into the finals i knew that i had to raise the bar. normally i prefer to drive with a slight oversteer which in events like an autocross isnt always a + . after a lot of thought ( i literally had all day . i decided to drive as straight as i could which was difficult given the slippery surface and not my prefered style of driving and that did the trick and the times was there i think more than 5-6 sec faster.

overall a very well thought of concept by northern m.sport (thou the track could have been made to be a lot faster n technical at the same time). to provide a platform for 'regular' people to have a weekend to fun with little expense.. when compared to a race weekend or a rally is great, the tarmac bit helps anybody to relate to as thats a surface that everyone drives on. the moment you talk about dirt/gravel people who have previous experience have a clear upper hand n not forgetting the abuse which someones daily driver goes thru.
people at northern motorsport (sudev i know is here, not so sure about raj,jd etc) over the years have pushed themselves hard to think out of the box and it shows

pics coming soon...

phil

ps: if anybody has pics of my car please do mail them to me.

@noida boy, sudev @people : how about a autocross championship ? 3-5 rounds.

Hmmm..guys it was a fun fill event, looking forward for more of this...

Here are few pics of the event...

There were total of 21 entires in my 1400cc category in which I stood 6th (2min.27sec) in qualifying, and Harsh 7th (2min.32sec). Manan could not finish the race !!!

Sanyam was also 13th (2mins.30sec) in his category, And Abhi was 12th (2mins.32sec)

Here is the final list in which I was 2nd with a small difference of 2 sec (3min.17sec) . The major time lost by me was in the 360 box as my car hand brake was not working upto the mark which caused me to reverse the car in final 2 laps, If the hand brake had worked my timing would have been under 3mins 10sec easily...
