2009 - K1000 in Bangalore (Time to watch 'em go sideways) - Team-BHP

Hola folks

As the title reads, its time for the K1000 Bangalore leg. Some of our team-bhp'ians(members on rally.co.in also) did really well in the Coimbatore leg and to name them raghuram.cg and vishal did some jaw dropping timings.

The Bangalore leg is scheduled between Aug 21-23rd and the venue remains the same as last year Ram Farms, Siddlaghatta.

Time to go click click click and catch some live action sideways. Am gonna be there purely for the thrill and the way these chaps treat their machines " push it to the limit " . Who's in ?

With State of the art electronic timing equipment from TAG Heuer (as used in WRC) and the new GPS satellite tracking system on every car coupled with some HUGE sponsors/promoters it is definately taking Indian Motorsport to the next level. INRC surely getting bigger and better and is an event to watch out for.

The only thing that could make the event even better is to have people watch the event. There were spectator stands at Coimbatore round at SS1, SS3 and also in the SSS with jumps upto 6 feet above the ground- truly exciting. We also had APRC TV (promo vodeo on Youtube) to shoot the entire event talking to all Drivers and Co drivers.

Last time around there were 55 entries for K1000 which had stiff competition in all the classes. This time it will surely be bigger and better, so catch you guys there. Dont miss it!!

August is a little too far fro me to confirm Riju,
but I am interested for sure, my friend has gotten the contract being the MC for all the rallies this season.

amit come on man, you sure can be there and you have ample time to plan your schedule. Also another purpose of this thread is that if we have any team-bhp'ians participating let them post their competitor numbers here and maybe we can stick around and get some pics for them.

Last time I knew arjun was participating but dint know his competitor number. Would be helpful if the participants can put up their car numbers here.

Thanks Riju! We will be getting our Competition numbers only after the Pre event documentation is completed, that is on Aug 20th. I will post mine and vishal's number once i get it

Back in the 90s, there used to be around 30 cars and 60-70 bikes taking the flag off.

I'd love to watch the action live this time. Would somebody post directions to the venue? And is there any entry fee for the spectators?

In rallying the only fee you ll have to pay is for the fuel to get yourself there. Stages are near RAM Farms, Sidlaghatta (deviation from devanahalli), suggest you to do your homework before gettin there or els you might end up lost. I heard there is going to be a spectator booklet that will be published before the event giving exact details of the stages etc, not sure though.

And yes, this dates mentioned above is only for cars, bikes event happens on a different date...

A suprise notice to the folks out here, have also sent my entry for this event will be driving in the 1400N class, its my first rally, will be with the RaceDynamics camp, we are also getting an 1600N+ car. keep a look out will update comptition numbers and other details as soon as I get a hold of them.
