Is there a radiator up front or is that simply body design?

With a 1.6 Fiesta engine with basic tune ups, you can get close to 120 bhp and in your 400 kilo frame, i'd reckon you can get close to 200-250 bhp/ton

Is there any camber in any of the wheels or are they all aligned to zero camber angle?

Once again, brilliant efort

Viva ss02
hi...thanks mate ......
the radiator is fixed behind the seat to the left.. yeah i doagree with you on the engine..... just need to do some basic homework regarding that.

Default amazing!!!

hats off to you sir for following your dream and chasing it down so well!!!
can you please let us know how much this project cost you?

BTW, a bigger engine(and budget) would have taken it to another level.i guess it would look something like the pictures i am attaching(just that your car looks a lot better, 'coz of the exposed frame-work on the sides):-)

OT:that cars ET was 14.4secs

^ Exactly the car i was thinking of when i saw the SS01 !

Random Thought : Isn't it weird how such a huge majority of cars powder-coat their frame RED!? Is there any logic behind it?

This is Baban Khan's car, right?
Used to run an esteem engine prior to this VTEC.

hey, nice effort bro.
6-7 months is a very good time frame.

Somethings you need to take car of for ss02:
  1. The exposed frame looks good, but it doesnt protect the driver from flying debris, so atleast side paneling is a must
  2. There is no front roll hoop, if the car rolls over, the car will rest on main roll hoop and steering wheel, thus endangering the driver. you need a front roll forward of the steering
  3. your connection between the A-arms and upright has huge rod-ends, thus all the load gets transferred to the thin cross section of this rod-ends (rod-ends in bending), you MUST employ a better solution. The pic below might give you some Ideas

This is all i can think of right now, but will post again if there's something more

also: this thread will definately give you some ideas

the formus on this site are meant for Formula SAE cars, but will be helpful for your project too, as its a similar car without the restrictions of the rules
