I'm not blaming the advertisers at all. I'm blaming the sports stars. It's a fast money for them moment they come into the limelight. They concentrate more on that side of making money than doing what they're suppose to be doing.

I don't have any reason to believe (as of now) that Narain is out of this syndrome.

However, I'm not for a moment questioning his driving ability.

We'll see Tom, how it goes.

Well no sport will grow without money....so it's equally important to have companies pumping in money and in return they get to promote their brand image. It's a win-win situation.
As for the sports stars they sign a fixed contract with their agency for a certain period. The agency decides what products they need to endorse..etc.
I dont think that appearing in more number of ads means more money for the sports star correct me if im wrong.

Esp in motorsports where u need lot of money u cant disappoint ur sponsors....without these guys NArain wouldnt have got a chance to race in F1.
So can we really blame him for appearing in numerous ads?

The right balance would be the key to success.

That's exactly one should look at. Sadly that never happens.
I'm pretty long in this business to know what exactly happens when it comes to net a sport star.

Also, Tom I don't want to extend this thread by putting our posts. Let other members talk. We can always fight it out later on.
