hi all, I am just back from IAA2011. Well one good feature for all those who are visiting and who have time. Please take your Indian driving licence(original) along with you, as every manufacturer is offering test drives. I managed to test drive VW Touran Bluemotion(Review coming up seperately). Between Hall 8 and 11, there is a seperate hall for "Probefahrt(Test drives)", just take your licence and passport original and book for test for any car, any manufacturer! Enjoy, happy motoring. My IAA pics coming up soon.

More than the exotics and Supercars in the Show, I'm quite interested in the cars that will have great significance in India, not far away in the future. SOme of these cars are slated for an Indian launch soon.

The VW Up! is one of them. It still looks like it's in 'concept-stage', but it could be justa dress-up, and the watered-down version isn't far away. The car looks great, and oddly, very similar to the Fiat Panda, when viewed from the front.

Ironically, the Panda may also make it to the Indian market. It's superior ground-clearance and frugal diesel engine should make it a hit in India. There is a 4X4 variant of the same, with beefed up tyres and bumpers, but I doubt that would come to India anytime soon.

The Hyundai i40, is theoretically, the new Sonata I guess. It looks great and should drive well too. Wonder what's stopping Hyundai from getting it down to India. The D+ segment is hotting up, right from the Cruze to the more expensive Passat and Jetta. The i40 would massacre them in terms of sales, if brought to India and priced correctly.

Frankfurt special in NDTV car and bike show! Nice to see some interviews and some new news.
1. Talk with Audi head
2. Talk with Peugeot CEO
3. Mini India launch/debut January

Car and Bike Show visits Frankfurt Motor Show 2011

P.S: I am not putting up my IAA pictures here because it would then become too repetitive.

I see that no one has put detailed pictures about Audi A2 or Audi in general, so here it goes.

The pictures looks great! The event showcased a host of marvelous cars, but the Lamborghini Aventador and the Mercedes A-Class were my personal picks.

Whereas, the F125 concept, also seems to have turned many heads!
